The developer/publisher? Lots of people still check metacritic and traditional reviews.
IGN are shills that accept bribes from Publishers. They are corrupt and shady. Just look at their 8.8 for Rome 2 Total War at Release. The game was a unplayable distator. It only scored so high as marketing mass bribed media like IGN.
Not all of his criticism is unfounded.
"It gets worse! Putting planets in sectors hides them in the menus that show lists of planets, so there’s no way to quickly access them. And planets in sectors don’t build ships or improve their space stations on their own, so if you ever want to do that you have to find them on the map, and that’s a frustrating process that actually creates more micromanagement than the sectors solve."
The fact that you only get your core worlds on the quick bar IS a bit tedious. At the very least I would hope they add a drop down menu to switch the planets shown to the sector you want to work on at the time.
Considering this forum has agree/disagree options I think there also needs to be a 'funny' option... I give this response a perfect 5/7."Not by EA or Activision. 6/10"
Paradox, please give IGN more money so that they rate you higher. Pre-Order cancelled.
I find it a bit strange with all that strong emotions about a game virtually no one have actually played them self. Let's wait a month or two and see what the consensus is at that time.
Now parts of this thread just reads like the curse of pre-orders + hype = I bought it, and I'm not stupid. So they game is great no matter what, because else I'm stupid for buying it before it was even released.
I don't understand that review. he first complains that the AI doesn't go to war and he had to initiate it. Then he complained that the alliance he's in got his empire wiped out because of a war. The writer at least should be consistent.
