Question About Combat

Looking at those screenshots, I was struck with a question: During combat, do you want the slider to be all red, or have the green go right or left?

Thanks,
...Conacher

In the demo, it was wierd, you were Red as the Allies and Green as Germany. I would think the player should always be Green?

Alex's link provides the stats. Looks like advanced are by far the more cost effective unless the SH BB expects to have ample AA support.

You can actually research both. SH BBs have a historical date of 1938 compared to Adv BB's 1941, so you can have them in production a lot faster than the Adv.

Nice Hunting! I can't wait to play a bigger country and really get into the whole naval thing. This game ROCKS!

I sunk a Jap carrier last night playing a 'learning game' as Australia with a couple subs out on patrol. At first I thought, this is stupid, what's a CV doing out this close to my territory with nothing but a light cruiser as an escort?

Then I looked more carefully at the map and saw that in the next seazone was a rather massive looking US task force. Apparently these two TF's had run into each other and the Americans had got much the better of it. As the CV tried to limp back to a safe port, I managed to stumble accross it and sink it. The US did the heavy lifting, but I still get the kill! :D

In my game the US is just dominating the Jap fleet. They have almost nothing left and units scattered all over the Pacific. Its going to be tough for them to get supplies pretty soon...

Stupid naval ai...While not doing as well as the Graf Zeppelin someone posted about earlier, I'll catch it yet!

Hmmm, sad to say the AI has not mastered the use of the Graf yet. I love the 'sunk ships' list. You can get real attached to some of them. Nice work finally trapping and sinking the Bismark!

I always like to see the US AI doing well... I think it's definitely one of the hardest AIs to program in a sensible manner.

The Super-heavy Battleship is basically a bigger, more expensive, more powerful vessel that also consumes 1.5x as much fuel as any other battleship (except for the Nuclear BB, which consumes none) and has a poor capability for defense against aerial strikes. It is also slower than the Advanced BB and has a shorter range.

I wonder what is this model's name for Japan...most likely "Yamato" ;)

It IS Yamato ;)
And it is a veeeeery nice little ship..only takes too long to produce :(
