The hundred year war

So I have been trying to get a europe focused english game going, and winning the hundred year war would be a great start. The problem is that as far as I can tell it is utterly impossible.

This isn't because of op french ideas or anything, but how alliances now work. I can no longer invite people into an alliance because of a 7000 at war malus, yet france has no problems at all. So basically, every single start has been england and portugal against austria, hungry, switzerland, and anyone else who wants some action. I can handle just france, heck even france and hungry is doable, but 3 major european powers is just impossible.

Has anyone managed to win the hundred year war in this patch?

I won but Portugal never joined my side and only Hungary (who never bothered to send troops) joined the French.

Just white peace or give one province. You don´t HAVE to win the HYW to have a good game as England, including if you want to stay on the continent. Don´t be obssessed with it.

However, if you do white peace then by all means fight France ASAP again, as once they absorb the vassals, Provence and Britanny things become... nasty.

So don´t let them do it.

3 restarts later I finally won. Basically burgundy went into war with france, crimea wentafter geno (and austria), and aragon decided to piss off castile early. ugh this is hard.
