I (Yuan) attacked Fars who is allied to my tributary Transoxiana and Trans decided to join the war on the side of Fars (btw: the declare war screen said they would dishonor the alliance). I won the war and want to make Trans a tributary again. The option however is greyed out and it says "Trans is fighting for their independence against Fars (!!!!) and will become their subject again if they loose". And its not just a typo since peaceing Trans out in any way indeed makes him independent from me. I guess this is a known bug but does anybody know if there is anyway around it or how to avoid it in future wars? I am really not to keen on the Mandate hit I will get by not having Trans as a tributary.

This problem has existed since the introduction of tributary... The devs just forgot to fix either the AI or the UI. There has been no official response on this, as far as I know. It kinda shows how uninterested they are in playing/fixing non-European related tags...

Btw, the same problem also seem to exist in colonial nations as well, so maybe there will be a fix next year, maaaybe...

Ugh, so much about tributaries is wrong. Theyre treated like vassals in ways they shouldn't (like, you can't demand they break alliances) but they can go to war with their overlord. But the ui says they won't.

Needs to be an overhaul there.
