It's 1550, and I managed to push four reform as Austria. Unfortunately, it's the whole reform thing, and prunces keep reforming (I keep de-reforming them). Hopefully, at one point, I will have enough enough authority to push a fifth reform, but that seems to me a quite counterproductive way of proceeding, based more or luck than anything else.

(IE, I smash Bavaria, force convert, then pray that she won't convert till I smashed another prince)

I think you can avoid it by going for the centres of reform. Its a bit of a pain if the Scandinavians have two of them (as they have in my game) and are super strong (as they are in my game, until I managed to trick France into doing all the dying for me).

Make those centres flip to Catholic, and no more reformation. Huzzah!
