Chapter IX
It was 28 April 998 when the King Of Wessex was attacked by Ordõno of Galicia. Brugge, a city taken by Wessex was a point of tensions, and when the Holy war for Flanders started, tensions started to rise between both kings. Wessex was a weakened kingdom, only a shadow of its former self. Brugge was quickly taken, but the king refused to surrender. In January 999 thousand Galician soldiers invaded England, and they succeeded forcing the English to a surrender in January 1001.
just to clarify: The kingdom of Galicia was destroyed, I am prince of Galicia and count of Gent now. The former kingdom is now owned by the Prince-Bishopric of Brabant, under the van Gent family. Galicia is independent but with only Galicia.

German at the moment, but don't worry, I have an decision to convert to ligers culture (van Brabant is having many cultures: Italian, German, Dutch, Castillian, Basque...)
Chapter X
In April 1041, Ordõno demanded the city of Kortijk from Archbishop Meartijn. He received it and granted to city to his son. The van Brabant family was weakening. Only two titles where hold at that time: Gent and Verdun. The women of the family where still mighty however, being married to the kings of Italy and France. In January 1055 the weakened Kingdom of Lotharingia was invaded by Ordõno, with an army of 2000 men. Lotharangia was maybe weakened, but still a strong power. Years of cat and mouse where played, around Liege. Some battles were fought, small armies of Lotharingia where ambushed and destroyed. But in 1059 the Kings of Great Moravia and Italy came to war. The tide was quickly turned, and while winning the war, they were forced to sign white peace on 20 January 1060. In the meantime Ordõno was getting crazy. He was possessed with the devil, he was speaking in tongs and thinking god was speaking to him. In 1065 he converted to Fraticeli, on the age of 62. The archbishop decided to arrest him. The poor Ordõno was imprisoned on his 63. Modern day technology and psychology shows that he was in a big depression because losing his two sons, and because he was a Prince of a non-existing kingdom. In November 1066 his wife was imprisoned too, but by the Muslims. She was a spymaster, and was caught. At the age of 68, in December 1067 his wife died under torture. It would take until 3 July 1071 that Ordõno died, at the age of 68. The County of Gent was lost by the van Brabants,and only Verdun was held, Under the Muslim Cesare. Most of Brabant was controlled by Sweden, since the Vikings invaded again. With van Brabant weakened, and the Vikings controlling the Southern Netherlands, nothing was sure for Europe.
look at France! I think that the boys and girls in Sweden made the Muslims a bit too strong. I think that, had they gotten all the way to Paris, all of Christianity would have united against them.
Dang, those Iberian Muslims are about to swallow Europe whole! Really dislike the ToG start because of that...definitely an interesting world in your version of 1066, hopefully you can survive without becoming a Muslim!

Chapter XI
In January 1072 assassins where send behind Emir Gutrane of Lower Lorraine by Cesare. He failed, and Gutrane interrogated the assassins who told the name of Cesare. Cesare was thrown into Prison. After four years, in October 1076, he was ransomed. In May 1077 he attacked the revolting nation of Upper Lorraine, declaring an holy war. In the beginning several battles where won, but the war turned when reinforcments for Lower Lorraine arrived. Emir Gutrane invaded Lorraine on his own, and he turned the war, but he took all the land, nothing was gained by Cesare. Important to notice is the Crusade for France in 1090. In November 1093 Cesare demanded Gutrane to give his lands to Guntram. Guntrane answered with a declaration of war. The armies of Cesare where victorious, thanks to 3000 mercenaries. Guntrane was overthrown, and Guntram gained lower Lorraine in 1094. Gutrane became Marshall for Guntram, becoming even more powerful. It was 1096 when the pope admitted he lost the Crusade. All hope for Christianity was lost, unless the Nasrids where destroyed by the endless wars they fought, there was no moment they were at peace. Cesare would die in a hunting accident, on 23 July 1100. His son Franz would rise to power, and in 1002 he attacked Liege. He won all battles, but the enemy was about the destroy his armies, so he was forced into a white peace with Lotharingia. Then Franz started his plotting, first he killed Wali Franz of Liège, Then he started to fabricate a claim on his Liege duchy, lower Lorraine. He failed to gain enough support, but he continued his attempts. In 1109 he attacked Santios, for gaining the county. He didn’t noticed the allies of Santios, and 3 of them joined the war. It was sure that he was going to lose this war.
Catholicism was driven back, as you can see on this maps of the situation in 1109:
