Here's the next update,Theodoros,Russia and Nogai (later also Tibet) take on the GH and their Khazak and Uzbek (and later Chagatai) allies. And Ioannes' rebellion continues, taking a city but losing a decisive battle...

Kherson,Prince Hector of Theodoros:

Hector observed his trebuchets lobbing heavy boulders at the walls of Kherson,Crimea. His siege had lasted last month;altough he was well aware that the Khazak Horde and Uzbek Khanate had joined the Golden Horde's side in the war,he was also well aware that the Nogai Khanate had been fighting furiously, and had already incapicitated the Uzbeks, taking their ability to fight and signing a favorable peace treaty with them, gaining Kara Kum,Karabogaz,Khiva and Turkmenistan.

The Khazaks, however, was a different story. The KH attacked constantly and struck like lightning against the Nogaian defenses, forcing Khan Nur ad-Din of Nogai to wage a purely defensive war against the swift and hard-hitting Khazaks. He could not send any men across the Khazak-Nogaian border,as then the Khazak Khan,Hoggar I,could easily devasate his undefended land.An attack at Karsak, capital of the Khazaks, resulted in a humiliating defeat for Nogai.

Meanwhile,Russia had used numerical advantages so far to a reasonably good effect against the Golden Horde, altough the Russians also had a marginal technological advantage over the Mongols.Having captured Iaroslav,Samara and Bogutjar so far,Russia was having a great success in defeating the Mongols, even though they had lost Vladimir.

Hector was also doing finely.Kherson was due to surrender in an estimated three months, and the Golde Horde's Golden Age obviously seemed to have hit a dead end here.News of the long and bloody Fall of Astrakhan, where the city's vastly outnumbered garrison fought for 11 hours in a brave last stand before they were totally wiped out by a Nogaio-Russian force, confirmed this.If there was one thing the Golden Horde still had from its Golden Age,it was the Mongols' indescribable bravery and their preference of death before dishonor.

However, bad news came when it appears that the Chagatai Khanate had joined the evil Mongols. To try and counter this,Hector got the mountain-dwelling (apparently) snow-loving Tibetans (I used the columbus cheat and traded maps with Theo, hehe :) :p ),who began to fight hard against the CH,their archnemesis. The Chagataians were not used to mountain warfare and the cold winters of Tibet any more, and soon lost the entire war,in both the Russian and Tibetan theatres of warfare.

The Khazaks also lost one decisive battle that opened up their lands to Nogaian invasion;the Bttle of Ust Urt.In this battle,50,000 Khazaks fought to the bitter end against around 30,000 Nogaians.Altough the Khazaks were initially winning, anoher Nogaian army of 30,000 arrived to reinforce the firs one.The Khazak force fought hard, but officialy outnumbered, losing was inevitable.Khan Hoggar was killed while fighting. The Khazak force--1/3rds of the combined Khazakian Army--was completely wiped out after a two-day battle.

With the decisive Nogaian victory at Ust Urt,Khan Nur ad-Din of Nogai invaded Khazak territory and, with the Khazak armies quickly disintegrating and Hoggar II of the Khazaks still only 2 years old (and thus various Khazak nobles fought hard for the Regency),the Nogaians confronted little organized opposition, with the two only actual battles being the Battle of Alga and the Siege of Karsak, both of which were Nogaian victories.Alga was ceded to Nogai in the peace treaty, and the Khazaks became subjects of Nogai (force-vassalization).

The Chagatai Khanate began to make more of a comeback with the diplomatic annexation of Uzbek. They stormed the exhausted Nogai which, altough having nearly doubled in size as gains from the wars against the Uzbeks and the Khazaks, were exhausted.Only Russian intervention stopped the Chagataians from sacking Emba.Nogai ended up having to pay a handsome sum of money and cede Khiva to the Chagataians in exchange for peace.

Unfortunately, the Chagaitian Khan attacked Tibet again, breaking their truce and sparking rebellions all over the Khanate.Luckily, this time only money (180d) was ceded to Tibet;previously, the CK had to surrender all lands east of their capital to the Dalai Lama of the Tibetans.

In December,Kherson finally fell, and the city surrendered.Hector, pleased with this, move to attack Lugansk and Donetsk by (apparently) splitting his force in two.He would lead the attack on Donetsk, while Argyrus,an illegitimate son of his, would strike at Lugansk, despite the bitter Russian winter.News of the surrender of Ufa to Russia were welcome news, and the GH was also now on the verge of collapse.

Beograd and Kosovo,Ioannes VIII and Constantine XI:

Ioannes was clearly pleased with the results of the Siege of Beograd. The city had been seized from Loyalist hands, and Ioannes had established a state known as the Republic of Dobrudja, centered around Silistra. It was not a Republic at all,but was really an oligarchy, with Ioannes (the Head Consul and the Head of State) having little actual power (altough he hardly realizes this). The Senate held most of the governmental power, particualrly the Congress branch of the Senate.

He had recently taken Beograd, but serious news soon arrived;Constantine XI and Diana Palaelogus were attacking Kosovo.Altough Ioannes was skeptical that his technical daughter-in-law became an Eastern Jeanne d'Arc,he was definitely surprised to see her really leading the left wing,in full armor and armed, when he met Constantine's forces near Kosovo the next week.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Constantine sighed.'When,oh mighty Pantokrator in Heaven, when did bringing the Empress to fight ever a good idea?'he thought.Diana had persuaded him to let her lead the left wing in battle. She was pleased when he agreed after a week of talking, and now he was clearly worried about her survival.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The battle started out smoothly for Ioannes. He had encircled the Loyalist right wing, thinking Diana to be more of a nuisance than a threat. He inflicted heavy casualties on the right wing, led by a converted Turkoman from the Kara Koyunlu federation named Avichai;Avichai and his guards fought hard, and he was severely wounded while trying to rally the wing before an Constantine sent out two detachments of infantry to relieve the broken wing.

The attack succeded, and the injured Avichai was evacuated from the battle, along with his guards, many of whom were either dead or grieviously injured. However, the detachments were quickly annihalated by a surprise attack from the rear as soon as the Orthodox Black Turkoman had left the field.Ioannes then turned against Constantine's blob of troops.

Constantine's body of men held out for a long time, but eventually they suffered very high casualties, and exhaustion, thirst and hunger took its toll on the men.Constantine himself was badly wounded when a soldier hit him with an axe;however, when Diana, bored of watching the battle, charged at Ioannes' rear.

The attack caught Ioannes' troops by surprise, and the Dobrudjan troops were sent into chaos and confusion. It was at this time that Constantine took his chance to finish Ioannes' army off,and he and his remaining men charged at the Dobrudjans, inflicting heavy casualties.Ioannes was mortally wounded by a javelin thrown by Diana, and died soon after, while the battlefield blazed around him.

Kosovo quickly fell after this, and Silistra was next.Shortly after massacring Kosovo's population of Ioannes' sympathizers, called Ioannians, the city of Silistra was submitted to a long and bloody fall by Diana, while Constantine left for Constantinople to recover from his wounds. He was clealy proud of Diana's deed at Kosovo, more than Silistra.

With the fall of Silistra,Ioannes' short-lived Republic was brought to a grisly end.Silistra and Kosovo were brought back into the Empire, and Silistra was burnt down and its inhabitants slaughtered in droves to show Constantine's hatred for Ioannes and the Ioannians.

The Byzantine Civil War was finally over, and the Loyalists triumphed (yes,I know,it's kinda short isn't it?).

OK,well,I've decided to dedicate this update to the Hussite Wars. They've been raging on since ages ago,but now with Austria,Hungary, the TO and Wurzburg on the Romanists' side and Poland,Lithuania,Mazovia and Venice on the Hussites',it's beginning to look like an exciting and heated war.

Vratislav,Zsigmund of Romanist Bohemia:

Vratislav sighed in disappointment. He couldn't believe that his proud and smart people could fall for the tricks of someone like that Jan Hus.Now they defied the Pope and himself, and refused to obey his orders. He took a drastic step by executing Hus,spreading anger, confusion and disbelief like wildfire across him realms. The clans of Tabor,Orebor (I assume),and the Utraquists demanded that something was to be done to make up for Hus' execution, but Zsigmund would have none of this and ignored their petitions.

As a result, his Kingdom fell into a steady decline until finally, the Taborites,Oreborites and Utraquists sparked a civil war in his domains.Zsigmund found his supporters in the Bohemian catholics, many of whom resided in the provinces of Silesia,Erz,Moravia and Sudeten. As Silesia housed the lagest Catholic city in Bohemia of that time,Vratislavka,Zsigmund centered his temporary state around it after being chased out of Prague by Hussites.

The Hussites called the Bohemian catholics Romanists,as they (the Romanists) firmly believed in the Roman Catholic faith, and headed to Rome once in a while. They had driven out Zsigmund from Prague, and there the Hussites set up a temporary state, centered around the city, and had plans to "unify Bohemia under Jan Hus' banner and teachings".Hus had thought them Protestantism, which valued religious individualism;these teachings were found useful by the serfs when fighting the control of their landlords.Serfs were the ones wo chased Zsigmund out of Prague and to Silesia, where they were ruthlessly butchered by a Romanist border watch.

The Hussites could've been called a "federation-confederation" of a bunch of city-states,the biggest and most influental one being called Tabor. The Taborites spearheaded raids into Romanist rural borderlands, and for quite a while, the Hussites expected a Romanist crusade,so they had tightened their defenses and trained thousands of troops to act as border watches.

The Romanists did declare war on the Hussites;however, they oddly didn't call for a crusade, with Zsigmund believing that his Catholics could handle the heretic threat well enough. He attacked and sacked Tachov with a 50,000-man strong Romanist army, much to the anger and shock of the Hussites--they didn't expect that such a small and insignificant town would be plundered for days, its inhabitants massacred and then it being burnt to the ground with such brutality.

The Hussites initially fought on the defensive, and under Jan Zizka and his Wagenburg tactics warded off most Romanist attacks, and only Vystrkov fell because its army was tiny and ill-prepared,made up of green recruits, and it had very thin and low walls.

Initially, when the Hussites went on the offensive and tried attacking Erz,they were driven back;Prague fell in the next year, and Tabor constantly suffered from Romanist raids, where its farmlands were looted and its walls damaged by the raiders;merchants were constantly attacked by Romanist-bribed bandits on their way to Hussite settlements, and Zizka's forces were being stretched too thinly to hold off the Romanist threat for long.

However, things changed when Poland and Lithuania invited the Hussites to join them.Jan obviously accepted, and to counter this Zsigmund gathered Austria and Hungary as allies.Poland was quickly driven back to Krakow, while Lithuania was occupied with the growing threat of the Teutonic Order;thus,Austria focused on destroying the Hussites.Tabor fell to the Austrians in weeks.Hungary had already seized Lublin from the Poles. It seemed like an ill fate hovered over the Hussites.

In the end,Ostmarch was given up to the Romanists. The Hussites also had to pay a hefty sum in indemnities.Hungary took Galizien and Wielkopolska.Austria received a massive amount of money. The First Hussite War had ended with a shocking and total Romanist victory.

Duke of Wellington:Thanks,I too am saddened as Nogai is restricted in space. This update,I'll try to focus on the Balkans (final defeat of the Hussites and the Constantine's surprising decision to unify the two REs together).

stnylan:I know,I also plan to remain Catholic through the Reformation and squash the Protestant heretics :)

Prague,Zsigmund of Romanist Bohemia:Zsigmund was saddened at the sight of the burning city of Prague, with corpeses littered everywhere and blood drenching him up to the knees.Prague had fallen after a valiant last stand by Jan Zizka, who fought hard with his 10,000-man garrison for two days without sleep, food or drinks against Zsigmund's Hungaro-Romanist army.Zizka's friends had pleaded to him to leave Prague for Munster, the nearest friendly city whose inhabitants didn't recognize him;yet,Zizka refused, preferring to die for Hus' glory. His friends then resigned themselves to fighting alongside him.

However, defeat was inevitable against the numerically-superior Hungaro-Romanists,and Zizka and all of his friends were killed in the battle. They were last seen,as a Romanist soldier said, placing their swords together to form a sort of a star, shouting,"For Hus' glory and vengeance!",and then plunging into a vastly outnumbered and desparate, yet still fighting hard,Hussite army.A wandering Taborite, found a few minutes after the Fall of Prague, claimed to be Zizka,he didn't even look like the Hussite commander and legend, and was quickly arrested.

Zsigmund then walked over to the burnt house of Zizka. It was hot, blackened and still partially burning. He pulled out a white rose and was about to toss it at the building when two of his men ran over to him."Sir,we have found something of great interest."one of them said.Zsigmund followed them wordlessly.

He then came upon the burnt and severely mutilated body of Jan Zizka.Nobody, not even Zsigmund, recognized the body;the soldiers only flocked to it because of its burns and mutilation.Almost half of the corpse was missing, and the intestines and liver had been spilled out,the liver on fire;the spine and hart were nowhere to be found. Then,a medic came over.

"This body...it seems so familiar, despite the wounds, the missing half of the body and the severe burns...of course! This is Jan Zizka!"the medic roared.Every soldier who could hear this stunning revelation gasped in surprise. One of the troops said,"Sir Zsigmund,Your Highness, may I destroy the corpse?".Zsigmund shook his head and said,"We shall arrange an elaborate funeral for this brave man.Never before have I seen someone like him;too brave for his own good.".

The next few months...

The priests finished the last words at Jan's funeral, after which he would be cremated.Zsigmund had finished rebuilding Prague, and had outlawed Hussism. He burned Tabor to the ground and slaughtered the Taborites--Hussite radicals--yet,he had spared the Utraquist Hussite moderates who, instead of fighting to the bitter end like the Taborites did, surrendered immediately upon the news of Zizka's death.

As soon as the priests left,Zizka's body was picked up by a pair of strong men,and then tossed into a raging fire. When the whole body, organs, bones and charred skin, had been burnt into ashes, the black powder was thrown into the Danube River, and eventually reached the Black Sea.

And thus ended the legacy that was the Hussite Wars.Later on,Zsigmund was crowned King of Bohemia in Prague Main Square, and he also later united Bohemia with Hungary through a Royal Marriage that ended up creating the double monarchy of Bohemia-Hungary,with Zsigmund leading its Crown Army as the Kings of Bohemia and Hungary (Ulaszlo II of Hungary left for Constantinople when Zsigmund demanded the surrender of his crown).

Constantinoplian Great Palace,Constantine XI,Diana Dragases Palaelogus and Andreas Dragases Palaelogus:

Constantine, his wife Diana and their son Andreas were just walking down the palace halls to their bedroom.Constantine was greatly relieved when Diana delivered their first child and Constantine's heir,Andreas. For quite a while after he end of the Civil War,he (Constantine) had thought that Diana was infertile from the Battle of Kosovo and the Siege of Silistra;luckily, she wasn't,and Constantine's worries of not having a proper heir was ended a few years ago.

Diana was going to take the young Andreas, only 8 years old now,to his mentor, the Patriarch of Constantinople, while Constantine wanted to send him to the barracks so that he could further expand the Empire, but eventually gave in to his wife,as the thought of a peaceful and well-seen Roman unification wasn't to be achieved through brute force.

While Diana and Andreas departed for the Hagia Sophia,Constantine headed for his Ministry of Diplomacy.Perhaps Roman unification was to happen before it was expected...

Alright, well, next update:the sudden and unexpected Roman unification (resulting in a state with Chalcedonian Christianity as its state church(altough it's really Catholic in game, the CC is just for the story),a pair of rulers as one monarch, and a lot of VPs and cores for the new Roman Empire),and the end of the Great Steppe War.

OK,today, the short and painless Roman unification,Theodoros signs a favorable peace treaty with the GH that signals that the Mongols' collapse is near and inevitable, and the Mongols then suffer from serious revolts,(and hopefully, but unlikely) while Kakheti, having re-unified Georgia (forgot to say that they fell apart :eek:o :( ),takes the chance to attack the dying empire.Next update will probably have the last breath of the Golden Horde.

Rome,Romulus III and Constantine XI:

"So,have you just proposed a Roman unification to me?"Romulus said.Constantine nodded."Yes,well,in that case,I accept.".Constantine could feel celebrations breaking out in Constantinople right now."However,Catholicism will be the state religion, the capital shall be Rome and the office of Patriarch shall be abolished."Romulus continued.

"Never! If these are your dishonorable terms, forget it!I mean, let's strike a compromise, shall we?"Constantine said, quickly getting over his anger at Romulus' unfavorable (for him) unification terms. Both men knew what would've happened next if Constantine had decided to spill out his wrath completely--no unified Empire, and probably a hot fight.

"Alright then, let's hear your ideas,"Romulus said calmly, trying to supress his anger and conceal it."Alright then...first of all,we shall unify the Churches."Constantine said."Alright then, but how can we do that? And how can there be a Pope and a Patriarch governing the same church?"Romulus said."Oh,well,we'll abolish the offices of Pope and Patriarch.".

Romulus, having just taken a sip of water, spat it out onto the table."Are you mad?Are you saying we are to become heretics?!"he spluttered."No,no,I--I mean,we can make the office of Pontifex Maximus, who will reign over this new Church. He will spend 10 years within the walls of Rome, and then move to Constantinople for 10 years, and so on."Constantine explained.

"Of course, this Church will have both Catholic and Orthodox traditions. For example, your Anointing of the Sick and my veneration and worship of Icons. And we could outlaw 'Islam',the religion of the despised heretical Turks, permanently."Constantine said."Alright,it sounds like a good idea. Now then, how will this empire be governed?I mean, the two of us can't rule together."Romulus said.

"Think again,Romulus,"Constantine said."We could rule jointly,as two monachs, with you and your heirs being the Imperator and me and my heirs being the Basileus. It would be like the Consuls of the old Republic, only we aren't elected and we keep our positions as the monarchs of the Roman Empire for he rest of our lives. Both of us will have absolute power."he continued.

"I see,'Romulus continued,",and we could use the Themata system of your Byzantine Empire. This way, those self-sufficient autonomous areas will be able to defend and maintain themselves, while we can just relax.Of course, seeing as Anatolia is very far away from the capital of Rome,it should be an Exarchate.".

"I see your point,"Constantine said."Very well,I shall choose the Exarch,as it is closer to Constantinople,my soon-to-be-former capital.Let's see...much like in the Despotate of Morea,my heir will be he Exarch of Anatolia until he becomes the new Basileus."he continued.

"That is acceptable.However..."Romulus continued."Yes?"Constantine said."Where will we expand? Will we expand to the East, conquering the vast steppes of Rus and hopefully as far as China,or to the West, domainating Europe?"he said quietly."We will divide up the workload. You can expand Westwards, while I shall go East."Constantine said.

"Alright then. And finally, will we establish a Senate?I mean, you abolished yours while I have only tremendously decreased their power, and your thoughts count as much as mine."Romulus asked."No Senate, they are untrustworthy.Even if you send them to Larende in the Taurus mountains, they can still threaten us greatly."Constantine explained.

"I see.But then what will replace them?"Romulus questioned."A small body of no more than a dozen chosen wealthy and powerful aristocrats of ancient blood, such as the Aemilii or the Scipiones. They will remain in their position for life, and their heirs will inherit their position upon their death. And about the relatively wealthy middle class and the lowly peons...we may as well as deny the middle class anything and enserf the peons."Constantine continued.

"Well, those are excellent ideas.I think this new Roman Empire will be a powerful force in Europe."Romulus said."I agree,"Constantine said. The two men shook their hands after reviewing all of their (Constantine's,in other words) ideas, and then walked off after agreeing to the Roman unification.

Tsaritsyn,Hector of Theodoros and Ulugh Muhammad of the GH:

"So,Ulugh, your time has come...or at least the treaty's,"Hector said, facing Ulugh."Yes,it has,"Ulugh sighed."Well,I am ready for your terms.I wanted to say something in defiance, but seeing your men and Russians level everything my ancestors have been pulling together over all that time just melted my courage and demolished my defiance.".

"Alright then,so be it,"Hector said, pleased."You will surrender to me the Crimea,Jedisan,Krementjug and Donetsk areas. To Russia,Ivan III shall recieve Iaroslav,Bogutjar, belgorod and Ufa.Finally, you must pay me 250,000 pieces of gold.Do you accept,or must I devastate your realms any more?"Hector said very quietly.

"I accept.there is nothing I can do,and refusing this peace would've only delayed my Horde's inevitable doom."Ulugh said."I am pleased that you see it that way,Muhammad. You know when it is time to surrender."Hector said, obviously pleased. The two men shook hands before leaving.Little did Ulugh know that he was about to face total disaster, and this was not to come from Nogai,Russia or Theodoros...but rather from within the Horde's body.

Ahh but this Ulugh Mohammed isn't possessed by someone whose name, quite clearly, means Declaration of War ;)

I wonder how long the empire will manage to stay together.

Yeah, same worries about the new RE.At the very least they have +1 stab.As for Ulugh, his entire Horde (Nogai joined in later, but got nothing in the end) was captured and he had nothing left.

I wanted to write him defiantly shouting at Hector about not surrendering, but with his whole realm covered in Russian,Theodorosian and Nogaian flags (and looting fires, for some),it doesn't seem quite possible.

The next update will probably be about Georgia,Kakheti having unified Georgia with the diplo-annexation of Imereti and the conquest of Abhkazia, targeting the GH,annexing Shirvan and the last breath of the GH before it totally falls apart.

Anyway, here we go,Georgia's successful attack, the GH's disintegration, and the War of the Roses (I won the HYW without a single fight, everything I needed to win was obtained through events.Yes,I am a cheater :p ).

Tsaritsyn,Ulugh Muhammad and Alexandri I of Georgia:

"So,Ulugh, are you ready for my terms?"Alexandri asked."Yes I am,"Ulugh said.Ever since losing the Great Steppe War,the Mongols, having lost all traces of confidence in Ulugh, rose up in revolt, led by Dawlat Berdi, who claims to have the skills and courage to restore the Golden Horde to its former glory. The people believed every word Dawlat said, and now he had said that Ulugh must be overthrown for anything to happen (the Mongols believed this as well). The result?Quite obvious.

"Fine then, you must give to me the Azov,Kouban and Astrakhan provinces,as well as 150,000 pieces of gold."Alexandri said.'Why am I agreeing to this moron's terms?'Ulugh thought, but he nodded anyway. He desparately needed time to defeat Dawlat's rebels, and this was not possible with Georgians destroying his realms and attacking all of his rebel-squashing armies.

"Fine then, let us hopefully never meet again, heathen Easterner,"Alexandri spat.Ulugh tried to blindly punch him in anger, but missed.Alexandri left, taking no notice of Ulugh's clumsy blows.Ulugh, fuming, left the room.

Sergino,Ulugh Muhammad:

Ulugh was greatly saddened when Dawlat Berdi's rebellion succeded. He had been driven out of Tsaritsyn by Dawlat's rebels, and took refuge in Sergino,a bitter cold and remote place, far away from the rebellion.Luckily,Dawlat's words of an uprising had not reached Sergino, and with its bitter winter,no Rebel dared attack it.Ulugh had set up a hopefully temporary state, the Khanate of Sibir, centered around Sergino. It had covered some parts of the Siberian corridor.

Tsaritsyn,Dawlat Berdi:

Meanwhile,in the Rus Steppes, even Dawlat's rule had proved unsuccessful to calm the people. He ruled as an apparently money-loving and narcissist tyrant, only caring about the money the people had in their little pockets and hands. He had TCs planted in every one of his areas, and this just further enraged the people. He was also obsessed with himself, and hired groomers from as far as China and England.Their services were extremely expensive, but as long as the peasants could pay,who could care?

Eventually, his greed and self-obsession drove the people to revolt. Many of his lands had decided to defect to neighbors, hopefully finding a better ruler in the nation they had defected to;Samara and Tambov defected to Russia,Altai and Karaganda defected to Nogai and Poltava to Theodoros.Yet,despite these uprisings and defections Dawlat refused to change his ways, believing that the people could be controlled through military force and tighter taxes. He was wrong.

The Golden Horde's remnnats fell into Civil War in a very short time.Dawlat and Ulugh Muhammad's illegitimate (and probably ahistorical) son,Ulugh Muhammad II,fought for control of the Golden Horde's pieces.Ulugh II eventually succeded, and Dawlat was killed in the Battle of Altai. But the next day after Ulugh's coronation,he was murdered in his sleep.

With Ulugh dying heirlessly, many pretenders tried to claim the throne, including his distant cousin,Ulugh Mustafa who, however, had moved to Emba and renounced all claims to the Horde's throne. This period of chaos and confusion in the Golden Horde was taken as a chance to hit them again by Russia and Theodoros, and Nogai soon joined the fray.

The Golden Horde was partitioned three times between the three countries before,Russia took Tsaritsyn (the Mongol monarch,up to that time, had been Mongol Pretenders,1/1/1).This act,and the subsequent annexation of the Horde, sadly put an end to the Big Horde's existence.

Winchester,Richard III and Harold V:

"So,I guess the Lancastrians want to take my throne?"Harold said."Yes they do,my liege,"Richard answered him. After defeating France in the Hundred Years' War,England experienced a long period of peace and calm. However, when the Lancastrians tried claiming the throne of England,Harold V (9/6/8)prepared himself for a great and terrible disaster. He sought asylum with the House of York, and even offered to join York with Godwinson-Plantagenet if his loyalists won.

Richard III of York,of course, accepted the offer.Harold attacked Lancaster, who possesed Scotland and Lancashire (much like the Plantagenets did in the First English Civil War so long ago). This attack was countered by Thomas Lancaster (Maj.General,3/1/3/1),who attacked Harold's 15,000 man (all cavalry) strong army with a 10,000 man (8000/1000/10) one.Thomas won and sent Harold fleeing to Northumberland.

However,Richard reached Inverness with his Army of York (7000/3000/10) while Thomas was too busy fighting Harold, and the city fell in days. The Lancastrians under George Lancaster (Lieutenant General,2/2/1) and his 5000 man-strong army (3000/2000/0) were defeated at The Grampians, and George's force was totally annihalated.George fell in battle by an anonymous man's sword. The province surrendered to Richard in a few months.

"So far,the war is so good,"Harold said, ten weeks later after the Battle of The Grampians. He had captured Aberdeen from the Lancastrians, and soon the war would be over.

His prediction was right.Altough Henry Tudor reached Lancashire in a month,he found the city to be under Yorkist-Godwinsonian siege. He snuck into the city of Lancaster in the night, and whipped up a militia of 5000 peasants and 10 crude mangonels.Despite his family's warnings and pleads to flee to Norway,Henry stood defiantly, preferring to die on the walls of Lancaster than to live dishonorably in Norway.

The next day(April 15,1483),the Yorkist and Godwinsonian forces stormed Lancaster by force.Henry fought hard and valiantly, but was killed in combat by Richard III of York. His body was never found, only a pair of purple boots with his mark on them;upon realizing that he was dead, the city's militia fought some more before they were totally annihalated.

Lancaster was burnt and looted for days, and the Palace of Lancashire was put under virtual siege for twelve days before Thomas Lancaster surrendered to Richard and Harold.

In the end,Lancaster was re-incorporated into English hands, and York was merged with Godwinson-Plantagenet.This resulted in the appearance of Godwinson-Plantagenet-York,and Richard III was named Regent of Scotland and Harold's heir (he didn't have a wife, and as his son,Harald I of England, was born through a prostitute,he was illegitimate).
