I started a game as Frankfurt with the same rules as you, just to see how I would fare. The 6 diplo regency got a Claim on Rivals in January 1400, giving me cores on Mainz, Wurzburg and Kassel. 
You probably will. It's 1427 and I've only fought two wars so far. I own Kassel, Mainz, Frankfurt and Westfalen. Wurzburg, Cleves and Cologne are my vassals.
I got two incorporate vassal missions within five years.
And the first war brought my army tradition up to 67 so my general is the best in Europe.
Its 1473, I had several Diplo 9 Rulers, and am the richest/most advanced country in the world with my Frankfurt game inspired by this AAR. I still don't have a core on anyone else.
Chapter II: Look To A New Future Pt. 2
Palpatine refused to give up the province of Franken. We did not want this war to drag on, we needed to find a way to end it quickly. The Fight couldnt be taken to Palatinate, so we took it to his allies.
Cleves held 3,000 men. Saxe-Laeunburg was sure to hold the same. Diplomats were Immediately sent to Brunswick and Luneburg for access to their lands to travel to meet my enemy in battle.
We gained a higher intellect in our Production and Government.
1,000 men were trained and were merged with the main army. We engaged The Army of Cleves at the Battle of Nassau. Hesse's army of 7,000 joined midway through the battle to assist us. They also brought word the Cleves capital had fallen.
We sent them our demands, they accepted quite quickly.
Next, we marched north toward our next enemy. We met them in a short battle, but their army routed rather quickly. Their capital fell soon after.
Our citizens were quite happy with the results, it was beginning to show everywhere.
Our Land and Naval technology reached new heights.
After defeating Both of Palpatines allies, We sent another peace deal to the leader himself, demanding that he cede Franken to us immediately.
He Chose the correct answer.

Is there any reason you haven't started trading seriously yet? I always thought of Frankfurt as one of the better traders, and an ADM9 ruler should make it even easier to establish trade.
Trading doesnt grant land. waste of my time at the moment. I actually never trade. So I wouldnt expect it in the future. Not my style.
Trade gives money which boosts tech. Its a lot easier when you outgun the opposition as opposed to the other way round.
I would imagine Frankfurt as a trading city, actually. If you want conquests, go with Brandenburg .

Thats whats gonna make this AAR so beautiful!!! No one see's Frankfurt as a conquest nation.

We succeeded in taking our first province. We now owned Franken, and Frankfurt!!! But what would be our next move?? It would be wise to connect our nation. The only nation in the way of this plan is the Emperor himself, Bohemia. We would just have to wait for an opportunity to arise for us to gain more land within the Area. But until then we wait. Our wait would be in the hands of this man. Lets see how well he can lead us through our peacetime.
We received a gift to state soon after he took office. It wasn't a lot for some countries, but it was more then we had before!
The same year, there was a rebellion in Franken. 4,000 men rose to free themselves from our rule and return to Palpatine's...... Palatinate's rule. It would be foolish to allow such a fine province that we had worked so hard for disappear just like that.
It became our nations mission to save that lanfd from the rebels. While still having military access from Wurzburg, we began to move against these rebels. It was all in Vain. Our weak army of 3,000 was no match for them. With Franken added to our nation, we had a Army Forcelimit of 5, but decided to stay 3 to gain more money. 2,000 units were Immediately recruited. When finished, we marched for Franken. Unfortunately, the second we arrived and began to win the battle, ,ore rebels joined the cause and bumped them up to 8,000 units. We were not able to stop them from taking control of Franken. But the army was defeated before it could rejoin Palpatine. With failing to save Franken, a new mission was brought up. Taking this land was unlawful within the empire. Bohemia, had its eye on us and our relations were falling fast.
Grand Festivals were held in Frankfurt, Why not, We Rock!!
Seeing how well off our country is, we were given a request for an Alliance. How could we say no??
Now it was time for a new leader.
Oh my!!! Poor England!!
A new leader is Crowned in the HRE.

Everything was moving smoothly. Nothing was out of place or out of the ordinary. Our Army stood tall, our Ruler was doing great. What more could we ask for??
Well I damn sure didnt ask for that!!!!
