The Hardest Achievement in the current patch?

Recently my in-game time ticked over 800 hours and I decided to start going after some of the achievements in-game. I started with "On English Neck a Norman Yoke" and found it really easy so I started looking for something harder. I'm currently doing "Empire of the Sun" because I thought it would be a mean challenge, being such a small nation next to the Great Green Glob. I feel like i'm on a lucky run though because it's been 80 years and the Abbasids still haven't attacked me.

So i'm wondering, what is everyone's opinion on which is the hardest achievement in the game right now?

My Empire of Sun runs all ended badly, I'd think it's tough luck. Whenever I play small Count/Duke the neighbouring country which is unstable in all other runs, suddenly blobs into unstoppable warmonger.

I imagine 'Khan of Khans' to be hard in the newest patch. I managed to get it before.

He Who Brings Benefit will always be quite hard. I only managed to do it as Genghis Khan back in 2014.

The cheeky answer is whatever achievement requires a DLC you don't have or one that is bugged.

Seriously though I find the majority of achievements isn't particularly hard to do, they just take time. Some seem hard at first glance, but turn out to be relatively simple if you take the easy way. For example for Empire of the Sun you could start as Abbasids, conquer a Zhun province, grant the Sunni Caliphate to a vassal, move your capital to the Zhun province and convert to local religion by decision. Then just grab the remaining holy sites and reform the faith.

All in all I think the hardest one is probably Prodigious Five simply due to the unpredictability of the new education system. There are several rulers that start with 5 children (Antso IV of Navarre in 1066 probably being the best choice), but the children may develop the wrong childhood traits and even with the right traits they can still get a sub-optimal education level.

I'm big on not being cheesy with an achievement run. I knew I could have done Empire of the Sun extremely easy as the Abbasids through religion converting but there's no fun or challenge in that for me. I wouldn't mind doing the Zoro's or Khan achievements next they seem like a good challenge in themselves. The Prodigious Five makes me shake in my boots though, the sheer amount of RNG

It's just a matter of having enough children (10 or so) and max trait teachers, so someone with concubines is best.

You need Conclave and you need to use the new education system so having max trait teachers doesn't help.

Forming India is certainly interesting now. I have the achievement, but it's more interesting with Conclave. Doing that now actually. Still missing three kingdoms then it's time to take on Persia.

Ehh thats more tedious then hard, once you have created India you can basically steamroll everyone so long as you have Imperial Admin, just takes forever waiting for threat to tick down.

With out cheesing Zunbils is are easily the hardest.

Including cheesing, Black Bishop still is the reigning champ IMO.

I'm glad to know that if I it becomes the very last one I need to get.

Kinda telling that its easier to get the achievement with out the improvements to the education system.

As mentioned earlier, I think Khan of Khans is the hardest. You have 250 years to conquer a ton of territory, while it takes 30 years or something for your threat to degrade.

I found that one to be pretty easy. As the Emperor of Brittania, I won a Crusade for Malwa.

I actually got that without planning for it in my restore Roman Empire game. I conquered the entire world except the southern half of India. I realized I didn't have enough time to finish conquering it by the time the game will end (sieges would take too long), so I converted to Jain in order to get What Schism? and Red Sea Resort and then suddenly got notified that I unlocked The British Raj achievement.

The way I did achievements like The Empire of the Sun or The One Who Brings Benefit is swearing fealty to your neighboring Muslims, who are not too much bigger than you. They usually have low crown authority at the beginning, so no religious revocation and you have time to grow and dismantle them from the inside + no Abbasid/Saffarid holy war, you're well protected and are free to expand. It may be slightly cheesy, but constantly restarting because the Big Bad Caliph/Sultan decided it's time to beat up on the small heathen next doors is no fun.

That's odd, I got the achievement while Conclave was not ticked on. Because one of my prodigous five kept dying before I got the achievement -_- and I just ticked Conclave off and educated the traditional way triggering the achieve.

Maybe the has_dlc condition only requires you to have the DLC installed, not actually enabled.

I'll try testing and see if I can get the achievement without even owning Conclave.

It stays active I believe, if it's a save where it was activated.
