My game hasnt arrived yet so I dont know if they're in it or not, but Im guessing they arent. For much of their history they had primarily Genovese holdings, and I know that isnt playable without a patch, however once they siezed Monte Carlo during the Gu-Gh conflict they really ruled as princes. It would make sense to make them a playable family ruling over Nice, which they controlled almost entirely, for a long period of time when it was broken away from Genova because of the Ghibelline take over.

I concur. It would be nice to see the Garibaldi family... all the way through EU2 and Victoria too. (grin)

As to your mention of Guelph (Welf) and Ghibelline (Wittelsbach): I have yet to figure out these dynasties work in CK. There does not seem to be a relationship between particular dynasties. EX: I play Robert D'Anjou of Naples, but I do not see any relationship with relatives outside of Naples. So it is hard to fathom how a diverse "party" like the Guelphs or Ghibellines is represented in CK. ...but I confess, I am still learning.
