Hitler walked looked out onto the streets of the former Czech capital and was pleased. The western powers were angry but he didn't care. The peace party who advocated ignoring Czechsoslvakia untill the army was ready for war had been brushed aside. The question became what to do with the country. The Czech lands were to become German that was clear, but of the Slovak part of the country? Jozef Tiso, the Solvak leader, but a strong case to Hitler that a new Slovak country, under German influence, would be a great asset to Germany. However von Nuerath put forward an alternative solution which Hitler found most agreeable. Hungary had been the first of the Balkin countires to ally with Germany it should gain a reward for doing so. The Slovak lands had been Hungarian territory up untill the end of the last war anyway, why not hand over the land to Hungary? Hitler had to say sorry to Tiso but the Hungarian government was most pleased to recover some of it's former territory. Germany now had one stronger ally than two weaker ones. Yes this was good news, time to talk to Poland, Germany had a claim on Danzig to pursue.

Do I understand it right?!!! After the German annexation of Czechoslovakia You were able to decide to give the whole territory of Slovakia to Hungary? Although being an unhistorical step, I find it interesting. But I hope Germany can also decide for only ceding the southern territories of Slovakia with Hungarian population.

Please, King give me some info about that particular event option. Thanks!

"We managed to lose 7 Divisions! I can not believe you can be so stupid" Hitler was not happy

On the face of it the plan was a good one, with Turkey now in the alliance there was now an open route through to the Middle East. With British bombing causes a few problems, although the airforce was shooting down a great many of the attacking planes, it was thought best to expand the war. With Italy causing havock in central Africa and Japan over running Burma it looked like Britain could be knocked out of the war. A force of 7 divisions under General Falkenhorst was sent to the Middle east via Turkey. Intailly things went well. The French mandate of Syria was quickly overrun and handed over to the Turks. Finding no opposisition Falkenhorst marched on into Palastine and this too was captured and given to the Turks. Then onto Egypt finnally meeting British forces in upper Egypt, Falkenhorst used his numerical superiority to quickly overrun the forces linking up with the Italians in Lybia. This was when Falkenhorst made his fateful decision. looking at the situation it looked like capturing the Lybian Egyption border with Give the Italians a good jumping of point to expand their conquests in Africa. However the German troops just could not be supplied in the deep desert and effectively the 7 divisions no longer exist.

"Please tell me you have good news" asked Hitler

"Well Donitz reports that his first Subamrine sortie went very well. A large ammountof British merchant shipping was sunk and all the Subamirne flotials returned home safely. They are currently getting repaired and 10 new ones are being built. With this force Dontiz hopes to cause even more damage to the British Merchant Marine." Reader chimed in, it was always nice to have good news especailly when the army had screwed up so badly.

"Well Greece has got into the conquering act overrunning Albania. Aparently the Italians started harping on about their claims there and started a war. Greece finished it. Also after much diplomatic effort, Denmark has decided to join the winning side." von Neurath added.

Goring thought he'd better own up to doing something "I ordered a fighter sweep over Southern England by forces based in Northern France. It appears that there are nto alot army units in Britain and the Navy is definatly not based in the South. However we did suffer heavy casulties from local figher forces. It looks like that is where Britain in concentrating it's efforts."

"Poland will be our next target, the Army forces are almost in posistion. From there we can go after the real enemy. The Soviet union." Hilter was a man on mission.

The option "give occupied territory to your ally" I like very much. It opens a lot on the diplomatic horizon.

All I can do at the moment is comfirm that the choice I took gave all of Slovakia to Hungary. The rest is covered by NDA I am afraid.

Kick ass!

Extremely cool stuff, King, a few suggestions (my mind is just jumping in 1000 directions here).

1- Why not pick off Holland and Belgium, gain some manpower, grab some airfields, some nice merchant marine (if that's in the game). This, and their armies are total crap (this I know from my history lessons).

2- If there is an option for this in the game, build a big-ass railroad from Berlin to Moscow (behind the advancing troops, to make sure they have winter underwear and plenty of ammo). The right hook option through Turkey into the Caucasus also looks promising.

3- Could we have a tech update? mostly on what kind of cool stuff your playing with and are currently researched, is the rocket-AA in the game and how much time until the Me262 is over the skies of London?

4- Ural Bomber, can it be made?

5- Japanese invasion of the USSR?

This game rocks! is the november 12 release date confirmed? And, if so, is this for the entire world or just the US (when's it out in Holland?)

I thought about it, but I happy just to leave them be. If they aren't going to cause me any problems, I don't see why I shoud expend the manpower to destory the.

The operation via Turkey is too difficult to keep my men supplied. After waht happened in the desert I am not keen on doing that again.

Good work King. I appreciate a lot your effort.

Just an overall comment. Don't you find things are happening too quickly? I mean, the fall of France, China, Middle East, the US entry in the war, ...

Considering that historically in the beginning of 1940 there were only three countries at war (UK, France and Germany), I find these AARs a little foolish. I'm afraid countries and events are triggered very easely.

By the way, a particular question from a spanish fun, what about the civil war in Spain? Who won? When started, ended? Did you have anything to do with it?

Greetings and go on.

I agree with your comments but this is a Beta AAR's there are still somethings to be balanced. I wouldn't read too much into this AAR on how the final game is going to play, more what kind of game concepts are there.

In my game the civil war is on going but the Republic do have the upper hand. I am consider joining in to help the Nationalists, as they look like they could soon be my allies.

Hmmmm. What exactly annexation of other countries gives you? (well, i mean, except the territory)

Specifically, does it increase your manpower in any way, your industrial capacity, your resources inflow.

Moreover, does it cause any troubles? Like resistance?

Well, seeing how careful Paradox have been with everything else I'd say : No manpower (unless you have "your people" there). Some IC and some one-time IC as loot. Resources certainly, while most of the merchant marine will likely escape and join the opposition.

Resistance movement certainly, but likely to have to be supported by enemies to be really dangerous.
