The Watcher grinned.
Friends of the Nagyari.
“But the Nagyari is not without friends. The Dynastic Union of Sabak have made a liking to their distant galactic neighbors. Trading between the two went up soon after they discovered each other. Technological exchange too. They do make some nice bed fellows, the two Imperialist Empires.”
He frowned.
“But then again, there is the United Kalaxenan Stars. Democratic Crusaders and hating the Nagyari guts. Their borders slowly met over two decades, filling the empty space no one else claimed. Superior in technology and slightly stronger in navy. Most disturbing for the Nagyari…”
Enemies of the Nagyari.
The Creature tsk’ed.
“You and your love for the humanoids. It’s endearing.”
They both laughed.
“Yes.”
The Watcher grinned.
“There is something about them. Something curious and special.”
He held up his hand again.
Irenic Bureaucracy and a peaceful lot.
“And then, my friend. There is the Union of Poci’Ganklak. Far away, pretty indifferent to the Nagyari. Peaceful, keeping to themselves. The same is their neighbors the Union of Qix’Poktrak. Peaceful science people, wanting to build through diplomacy.”
The galactic south is a peaceful place.
The Creature nodded.
“Keeping to themselves? Just like the ancients I am certain is around here too.”
The Watcher nodded back.
“Indeed. Keeping to themselves, they are. There are two of them; the Scyldari Progenitors. An observant, if a bit reserved lot, they are. And the…somewhat damaged robots, the ancient caretakers of the Homolog Continuum.”
The two fallen empires around in the galaxy.
The Watcher furrowed his brow.
“Those would be all. Ah, except the very small empire of the Hadadeshi Mercantile Guilds. The poor beings got left behind, one might say.
A very small empire.
He giggled.
“How on Haldok’s beard could I forget. The Independent Pakari Commonwealth. Deep in the galactic south. Pretty strong, but far from the action.”
Good warriors, much honor.
The Creature smiled.
“In the south, with all the action going on in the north. I see.”
The Watcher gasped.
“Oh my, something is happening. While we have talked, the Nagyari economy has blossomed, their military doubled. And they’re moving towards Yldar space. Most curious.”
The Creature nodded.
“Indeed. Their economy is good now. But see what happened last time they went to war.”
The Watcher shaked his head.
“Let’s see what happens.”
