okay slight change of plans would it be possible if we started one hour earlier? I know this is short notice but because of a series of unfortunate events I wont be heading to Daniels until noonish mytime which is 2 hours or sothrough our session now I am not entirely sure of when were leavingto drop me off at Daniels so its possible theres no real change but if everyone can show up one hour earlier we'll get more done worst case scenario.
Well, this is better than your usual changes of plan, at least. I will be there at 0600 my time, and I expect you all to genuflect to me for it, if Golle posts that he will show up at that time, ie one hour earlier than usual. Otherwise not, I'm not going to get up at 0600 in the freakin' morning to wait for people.

Well, Golle had to leave, so I guess we won't get any further today. Only three months played, ah well, such is life.
To update a bit, the Norwegian front is going quite badly but may now be stabilised. Bergen has fallen; the Norwegian government has moved to Berlin. The Don pocket has been wiped out, freeing up twenty or so divisions. Fierce fighting continues all along the Balkan and German fronts; Yngling panzers briefly reached Venice and Freiburg before being forced back by a million-strong Chinese counterattack. Apparently the Belgians, in their desperation, have reached some accommodation with the Comintern and are letting their troops onto Belgian soil. I have some plans for dealing with this, but we shall see. Numbers are now fairly even in Germany. However, I did get to Strassburg even if I only held it for a few days, so the Belgian nuclear industry is now history. Leaving China with a nuclear monopoly. No movement on the Caucasus front; in Siberia the slow, irresistible push of 2 million Chinese continues, albeit with vast casualties.

The drizzle cut to the bone. It was probably stupid for Vidkun to insist on being the last man aboard, there was planning he could be doing instead of standing around in a cold rain waiting for the last piles of paper to be loaded onto Djerv, but having gone for the symbolic gesture he was stuck with it. He hummed absent-mindedly; the old song had gotten stuck in his head while he was hearing reports about the fighting around Ulriken, and he'd been unable to dislodge it for the three frantic days of the evacuation. By now it was an old friend. Eg tok min nystemte / Citar i hende..." No cithars on Ulriken today, and no poets either; only beardless boys and the rattle of 8-millimeter Krag-Jørgensen rifles. ...Tenkte på bauner / om de skulle brenne / og byde mannskap / mot fienden opp." But the beacons had burned, and the city had risen against its foes; and it had not been enough. There were just not enough Ynglings to be strong everywhere; and the buekorps, the old men, the strils armed in desperation and promised freedom if they fought well - they had done their best, and with the mountains at their back they had gotten a high price for the city, but in the end a hundred thousand hastily-drafted militia were no match for a quarter million regular troops of the Ejército de Tierra. There would be fighting in the streets for another few days, guerrilla action for months and years to come, but as a serious military factor Bergen was finished.
Vidkun closed his eyes in pain at the thought; Bergen, cradle of the empire, had not seen enemy troops in five hundred years; the Belgians had been held in the Jotunheim. And now the Spaniards, of all people, were invading it on his watch. Out here in the rain, with noone to see, he could consider whether he'd done the right thing. After all, when you came down to it, his vision of the nuclear war to end wars was only that, a vision. Even the more extreme fringes of the Radical party might be reluctant to sacrifice all of Norway to a radioactive Triumph of their Will. Or perhaps some defense could be found; or it might even be possible to re-enter the war, use Chinese ambitions of hegemony against Belgian, gain some advantage... And then again, perhaps the horse would learn to sing. He could feel the old gods whispering in his head, and knew it for a fatigue-induced hallucination; but still it comforted him, to hear Odin say that it was right to strive to delay the Twilight of the Gods, to hear Thor laugh that he would face the Midgard Worm in his own good time, and needed no help from humans. And behind them Olaf the Saint spoke of the cross he had painted on Norway in his own blood, and of the nuclear fire that would burn it off; and Halkjell chimed in from his rest under Dovre, that he was not waiting for Norway's darkest hour merely so a Law-Speaker could sign away Siberia. And when the time came to leave, Vidkun walked up the gangway to Djerv with the firm stride of a man who believes he is doing the right; and he did not look back at his city.

Here's the Spanish attack going on, and the I Ynglinga Hird marching desperately to the rescue. Too late! Those militia defending Bergen will hang on until early January, but by then the Ynglinga Hird has been repulsed - I retake Oslo, but can't make any headway into the mountains, the weather is just too nasty.
Well that map doesen't tell the current situation. Its true that the Yngligs did retake Oslo due the very usual communication difficoulties in the Comiterns joint-operation command centre. Chinese troops, which are in theoretically under the same command as the entire Scandinavian front of Spanish troops often act solo and tends to inniatate manuverings like they had the whole operation under control. But these very small proplems and soon solved without loosing too much of the advantage that the Comitern enjoyed in the front. Oslo was retaked by Comitern and at the moment, Ynlings have in facto loosen all control of the Norweigian natural provinces, theie only stand in Scandinavia is the Göta, south sweden.
Sorry boys, but I got a job-gig scheduled on this saturday, and I have no clue when Im comming back...I migth be before 5:00PM (the game time), or It migth take all nigth, and I wont be home before midnigth.

That's not great, by any means. Are we still going to play, maybe with China in mil-control of Spain? We really need to get this finished before September 16th, 'cos that's when I leave. And Blayne, any Danos or whatnot showing up this week?
Well my work starts in 20 min so I gotta row soon...The nasty thing is that I really don't know how long it might take...But if I'm back before the gametime or hour or so later then we can play..

i twas in the channel for an hour, left now, basically golle onc your back contact me on msn, and kom once your back also contact me and i geuss we'll continue once your both back, my parents are packing up the flea market place today, not sure when probably later this evening so we have time.
I'm back now but cannot reach sid via MSN where it says he is offline and with ICQ where it says he is occupied. I have few other things to do so I don't have time to wait here on the computer all the time so please try to read this as soon as possiple.
