Quite frankly, we don't have enough people for what we plan to accomplish. We are trying to take a game from CK-->EU2 and even further onwards. That means there has to be competition the whole time, with multiple outcomes. Now, in MTT right now I'm realizing this. I've had competition the entire game, from Norway, Hungary, or Rus, but it has never been dynamic. It has always been us fighting a war, the usual allies joining in on each side and whichever side has the most troops + good tactics wins. That's how it went again and again and again. Now, many times there were different winners, but it felt like fighting the same war over and over again because nothing changed. The same countries were fighting on the same sides for pretty much the same goals as they had before.
We need quite a few dedicated players in order to accomplish anything close to what we hope to do. We have dedicated players, but not enough. The reason for this is that more active players means that there are fewer gargantuan realms. The lands are divided up better and AI kingdoms become sometimes like neutral barriers as opposed to lambs being led to the slaughter. The only way to get a game like this to work is to have a large number of dedicated players who will keep playing even when their countries take a hit. Now, I believe I made one big mistake at the beginning of this game. I failed to try to bring in the EU2 MP crowd. That is a huge community, bigger than all the other Paradox MP communities put together. What we need to do, is get them in, but it's too late for that I believe in this game.
