My CE copy was sent from Sweden (Malmo) on january 19th, and received in Italy yesterday.
Not too bad, I can say.

The people across the pond got their games sent so they would arrive by January 23rd, our are supposed to arrive January 26th, so there's bound to be a slight difference there.

I have a BIG mailbox outside the house so I really doubt that was the problem.

Call your local postombud and ask. I did that with my new computer, and it saved me from waiting atleast one more day.

Swedish preorders were sent on Monday from Malmö. Most people should receive them within a day if as usual the mail takes one day to arrive. Depending on the time when our shipping agent was done with them there is a slight ossibility that some where posted so late that Posten kept them for Tuesdays mail. That means that most games should arrive today.

It's the shippers responsibility to allow for delays in shipping. They had plenty of time to account for that. If I had known I could have gotten it from a retail supplier on release date for cheaper I would have just done that.

Why pay more money to buy a game and get it later? That's a good deal how?

There was a post in the pre order thread where someone from paradox said they would account for shipping delays which is why I pre ordered. It was misleading for them to say that.

Paradox wants to make more money by shipping direct which is fine. But they have to meet the same standards any retailer does. People should also know if they order direct from Paradox there you may get it well after retail stores do as well as have to pay an extra 7 bucks for shipping and handling.

Which is just what they did. That's how Duuk got his before the rest of us.

So I ordered my copy of the collector's edition back in December. These guys put off the launch of the game so they had plenty of time to allow for any shipping delays. So how do stores in the US have it before I do? If I just walk down the street I can get a copy without paying 7 bucks for shipping.

I have been pre ordering Paradox games ever since they started selling direct and been burned every time.

At the same time Paradox manages to charge the credit card well before shipping back in 2006.

At this point. I don't want the game I just want my money back. Who knows when I will get a copy at this point.

Ordering direct from Paradox is the best way to support them. So what if you get it a few days later than release date. You are getting the Collector's Edition, after all. No stores have the CE except Target and my local Target hasn't received their copies yet. Anyone else buying EUIII right now is not getting the CE. I know it is hard, but be patient. I am sure it is worth the wait!

Depending on exaactly where in CA you are, I'd estimate about a week.

I can't say for this release, but my copy of Crusader Kings made it to NYC in 4 business days: maybe the Swedish postal workers were on steroids that week

For anyone reading this thread and thinking that the OP's experience is common, I've ordered two items direct from PE and both arrived unexpectadly quickly. I've had nothing but excellent customer service from them which have exceeded all expectations.
