Chapter 4
In Which Wales is United (More or Less)

ck2_12_zps6ce2564e.png

The first short war of the son is to take another Welsh county. It is discovered that the South Welsh dislike the North Welsh *just* enough to siege at least one holding. Luckily, one holding is all that was needed to take Powys.

ck2_13_zps152b32a7.png

This is another important event. The previous Ozomatli had left his realm on Gavelkind, meaning that his younger son got one of the counties. Upon his death, his elder son demanded all of his father's inheritance. While not happy with it, he conceded that he could not hold on to the county in a civil war. The realm remained safe.

ck2_14_zps01b29a96.png

The duke marries his neighbors' sister, who turns out to be another lesbian. Lots of homosexuality on Albion it would seem.

ck2_16_zpsef3911ce.png

Oh well.

ck2_2_zps2f504b16.png

The young king of Rus enters an alliance with the Nahua via a sister.

ck2_3_zps72ff069a.png

And it is discovered that the Nahua have "Very real, legitimate, and 100% not-faked" claims to the rest of Wales. *looks up at audience* Whaaaat?

ck2_4_zps0244b306.png

The Nahua are outnumbered, but take advantage of the hilly Welsh terrain to pull out an upset victory.

ck2_6_zps3d97980f.png

And the wife of Huitztecotl is found to love poetry rather questionable in integrity. Given that she has low fertility, this can only be good.

ck2_7_zpsc423f128.png

And the crusade fails. Surprise! In actuality, what happened is that the overwhelming part of christendom joined at different times, each sending troops over when they felt like it. The organized doomstack defense system triumphs again.

ck2_8_zps218b7f48.png

After some more delays and sieges, Wales is united under the Nahua people. Hooray?

Finally got the pictures up. Something was wrong.

Yup. I do it that way much of the time. I just try to make the few words as meaningful as possible (if possible, and if not, then I just make them straightforward) and use the screenshots in a "whaam" fashion, sometimes in-your-face, sometimes a nice view. You seem to be doing it the same way, a good example being your, "finally, the count has a non-deformed child," moment. This is basically similar to making a comic book, I guess.

Glad to hear it. I'll try to put more writing when appropriate though.

I'd just like to point out quickly that you're going to have to go into the console, mod or savefile and change the culture of your province to Nahua if you wish to spread your culture to the rest of your kingdom. Otherwise, interesting AAR. Could use a little more writing but that's of course a style choice.

Are you 100% sure of this? I don't want to cheat if at all possible. If you are sure, then I'll do it though.

Absolutely positive. Culture can't spread across seas either (unless you can walk troops across the sea) so only the British Isles will have the Nahua culture even if you do manage to spread it to every province.

false, only provinces you 'conquer' (so no inheritance) will convert to nahua
This means that your starting province wont, but if you conquer a province NEXT to it and convert that one any bordering province can convert as well regardless of it being conquered or not
That's roughly how it works now, you don't have to necessarily border a province to culture convert it now

This looks interesting so far. I assume you are independent of any liege nowadays? Who among the Saxons are ruling England now and do you have friendly relations with them?

I ran a test game, and had Ireland (eventually) convert to Occitan despite having no Occitan lands in the entire nation. I assume it is possible with Nahua as well.

Yes, which I will get to in an update or two presumably. The Saxons took power back after William died, leaving his idiot son in charge. The old "of Wessex" family, under Eadgar II currently rules.
