Chapter 4
In Which Wales is United (More or Less)
The first short war of the son is to take another Welsh county. It is discovered that the South Welsh dislike the North Welsh *just* enough to siege at least one holding. Luckily, one holding is all that was needed to take Powys.
This is another important event. The previous Ozomatli had left his realm on Gavelkind, meaning that his younger son got one of the counties. Upon his death, his elder son demanded all of his father's inheritance. While not happy with it, he conceded that he could not hold on to the county in a civil war. The realm remained safe.
The duke marries his neighbors' sister, who turns out to be another lesbian. Lots of homosexuality on Albion it would seem.
Oh well.
The young king of Rus enters an alliance with the Nahua via a sister.
And it is discovered that the Nahua have "Very real, legitimate, and 100% not-faked" claims to the rest of Wales. *looks up at audience* Whaaaat?
The Nahua are outnumbered, but take advantage of the hilly Welsh terrain to pull out an upset victory.
And the wife of Huitztecotl is found to love poetry rather questionable in integrity. Given that she has low fertility, this can only be good.
And the crusade fails. Surprise! In actuality, what happened is that the overwhelming part of christendom joined at different times, each sending troops over when they felt like it. The organized doomstack defense system triumphs again.
After some more delays and sieges, Wales is united under the Nahua people. Hooray?
