Going by just the historical route to fill in the gaps:

1. Keep Vanilla 1916 Election; or add option for Charles Hughes**.
2. Election of 1920: Harding/Coolidge* vs. Cox/Roosevelt(FDR)**
3. Death of Warren Harding 2 August 1923
4. Election of 1924: Coolidge/Dawes* vs. Davis/Bryan**
5. Election of 1928: Hoover/Curtis* vs. Smith/Robinson**
6. Election of 1932: Roosevelt/Gardner* vs. Hoover/Curtis**

*Historical Winner
Adding options with ** would require alternate election events and split into them. I'll work on some ideas for Alternate Elections.


I can run these either on the Darkest Hour one choice events or I can do them as multiple-choice events depending on the mod philosophy. For now if the general idea is approved I'll do them as multiple-choice.

Alternate Election of 1920 if Charles Hughes wins: Hughes/(Fairbanks died in 1918) vs. McAdoo/Roosevelt. Wilson blocked McAdoo in hopes of securing a third nomination, with Wilson not President I'll grant McAdoo the chance instead of Cox, this event could go both ways tbh.
Alternate Election of 1924 if Cox wins in 1920: Cox/Roosevelt vs. I'll have to do more research.

I have a basic framework for the 1920 and 1924 elections. I'm not sure when I'll be ready and I'll have to leave some effects up to others to determine, but I have a good framework going forward. Harding and Coolidge will get their historically appropriate cabinets, while Cox and Davis will get their running mates and I'll have to do research for the rest of their cabinets. I'll probably pick through governors and senators to find them.

There's a recommended election event template you can look at in the old AAR repository under Documentation that covers most cases, except tag switching.

Thanks. I used the 1936 election event from DHF as inspiration, but this will help greatly.

Someone will probably have to fix them anyways, I haven't coded events before.
The recommended template design is superior to DHF's since that one was designed with ahistorical possibilities in mind. You can probably look at the Austrian elections files for good examples in AAR since those elections were converted to the new-ish format (some things may be outdated). None of the other files were converted afaik.

I unpacked both files and put them into folders but when I direct the GC to them the install button remains frozen, what am I doing wrong? do the mod files have to be placed inside the mods folder of the game? At the moment I simply made a file inside my download file with all the GC resources (AAR, NWO and all that)

I am sorry if the problem I am experiencing seems like something I should know or be able to solve on my own, I am not used to install programs for mods...

OK you are just supposed to tell the installer where the mods are it will then install all of them. So you have to tell it where each of AAR NWO and CWTT are and it should do the rest. You can use browse to find the mods and then the install button should light up.

Found a bug that happens whenever I try to load a game. Can ignore without penalty. Tried scanning the posts, couldn't find an answer. Seems like the AI event files (Regular and 1914) for the US have duplicate ids in them of 3049001. Changed the event ID in my files and the problem fixed itself, I think.

Here's what's in the savedebug.txt

Sorry no it is a bit tricky to do. The Grand Campaign thread has some more information but this is a combo mod so you may have problems doing everything that is needed. The mod developer has gone awol so there are other mods that are easier to use than this one. If nobody else helps then it will always be a mess that mostly works.

Some bits are off - Soviet Union having 750 divisions in 1941/1942, Tibet having 300IC (lol :p) in 1939, Brazil having 95IC in 1940, National China gaining ~200 divisions in a few weeks time after Marco-Polo, USA having only as much IC as UK, Sweden having ~60IC in 1940, Italy for years being overrun by partisans, but otherwise, nice! :))

7. Copy the death_event.txt in to your TGC/db/events folder over writing the orginal

I dont get this point. From where should i take the deah_event.txt

That was from the beta one version. It should not be needed with beta two. Let me know if you have any other problems. The last few pages have fixes for most problems. As I said before this mod was abandoned again and nobody has stepped up to help with it. I have been doing what little that I can do. I am not much for coding.

Additional issues: USA having awful build order (89 air transports and 40 rockets with nothing else.., also no carriers). had to manually switch on their unit building, apparently the events concerning disarmament don't work as intended.
