LOL. How did Britain become communist?
PS: Elizabeth II as Head of State of the so-called "English Republic" makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. How can Elizabeth II be Queen of the English Republic if the most rudimentary definition of a republic is a government without a monarchy? If she was called Comrade Windsor or something of that nature then I could maybe understand (reminiscent of Louis XVI prior to his execution) but her still being referred to by her monarchical name is misleading and inappropriate given the nominally Republican government structure.
I guess they chose communist in election events, don't bother with trying to understand Elisabeth II - it's a bug :D

I think US should build more carriers...


Or it can get annexed in less then a year...

In short: They put 3/4 of their army on border with Spanish Mexico and when my super-fast motorized divisions landed in Baltimore AI didn't know what to do :D

Possible bug: Greece choose to go for all in Greco-Turkish war and annexed both OE and Bulgaria, but after winning the war they released both of them :D
Germany also doesn't seem to be willing to attack USSR

I can also confirm the bug mentioned by Myrten "Germany also doesn't seem to be willing to attack USSR". I checked what may be wrong and what I found... Looks like the Germans were too scary to attack because of the armies of USSR. After disbanding some of they armies using one little cheat acceptall, Germany started Barbarosa.

Another thing: As Germany I'm winning WWI but every time no matter how many fronts remained the events always make my Reich to self-destruct. Can you make some unhistorical events that allow Germany or the whole The Central Powers to win WWI or WWII? This will make the whole mod very unpredictable and different every time. Another example is my playing as Bulgaria in WWI. I destroyed both Serbia and Romania, Germany won on the Eastern Front but in the end surrendered because of the events. Then only I was the representative of the C. Powers and what I won. Nothing...

It's not that easy to support alternative result of WW1, historical route is still bugged.
USSR finally attacked Germany in 1943 and now Germany is facing two-front war :D

A-historical events are planed but at this time as Myrten has stated, we have to get the historical events working properly before that can happen. If I was to add a central powers victory at this time it would compound an already major PITA that is this mod. What we are doing here was never intended to be done and so with that comes the fact that things just don't work right the farther in you get in history. In the last month we have made massive leaps in balance and stability and every week, even most days, progress is made in making things work right. Be patient and stick around, were only just getting started in all reality :)

Can you make US AI much more likely to send troops to Europe in both WW1 and WW2? US in my game had many divisions at home but they send almost none to Europe. My Spanish army were fighting the Germans alone...

Another problem which I've also noticed is that French AI is very likely to leave alliance with UK after WW1 and never go back.

My take on the Great Depression: It needs to be a very fluid event chain and not just forced events but decisions that can help you or hurt you. Though not hard to write just takes a little time, I have been much more focused on the big problem but we are quickly moving from WW1 into the Interwar years and so, that being said I am taking ideas and trying to find a good middle ground so everyone is happy and the depression is fluid and dynamic as it was in history. Keep the ideas coming, as long as there are no major issues to deal with 2.3 this weekend will contain new depression events. Also, I am considering dropping the Second Industrial Revolution chain altogether as I believe the new depression and League of Nations events I am working on will take care of that and many other issues :) Let me know what you guys have in mind, I really want to get it right :) back to work I go

Check out AST on the Depression front. You get literally slammed but don't lose factories I think I set it to -25% IC effectiveness and -30% IC supplies efficiency and you gradually get it back as your economy repairs itself. I'm only playing 2.2 but the other thing I've noticed about AST pplaying as GER/U08 is that while my air force, army and navy AST has a monstrous 108 infantry divs and a rapidly growing air force. WW II is going to be 'interesting' as GER. Not sure if mentioned/fixed apologies in advance if so.

I'm not in hurry and I know how hard it can be to combine two WW in one campaign. When the times comes - then I will expect the alternative events. :)

Something is certainly broker there, just took a look at China and in 1950 I still have Beiyang China, I'm pretty sure there was no Sino-Japanese war.

Hi guys, a long-time player and fan of this mod here. I have successfully been playing AAR (a version from about just over 1 month ago), where with manual interventions (end civil war, build carriers for countries, build army for Italy etc) I had a historical game, with the exception that D-Day never occurred and all of Europe became communist. I am playing with Brazil, and then WW3 naturally occurred in 1955, and I as a member of NATO have been playing in this fun game, as we kept Africa, then slowly got pushed out to some beach-heads in Africa (USA with 2 beachheads in West Africa and I as Brazil with 3 provinces in South Africa as I desperately need energy).

I am in 1959 now and what is occurring is quite frustrating... USSR has surrounded our beach-heads with armies, but has left Western Europe completely unguarded. USA will proceed to launch an invasion with 1(!) unit, liberate France, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain etc. before being run down by a few Soviet divisions. This keeps happening time and time again, so multiple socialist/western governments have spawned in the aforementioned countries in a brief period of time.

Is there anyway to improve AI naval reinforcement of amphibious assaults? It is a common bug I think, but is there a way around it? Also, how can we make the AI defend Western Europe? Could similar coding from Nazi Germany's occupation of France be used (sorry if I don't make sense, I am a computer novice and know nothing about coding and programming)?

Otherwise, I am really enjoying myself and it has been my favourite DH game thusfar (still playing but only on weekends due to long working hours). Looking forward to the new release ej, and appreciate all the work you have put into this!!

Hey V I was seeing the same problem in a very recent handsoff game with nofog. Ger was doing Sealion or trying to. The ai would land a few units and never send more to follow up. This happened many times and then all of a sudden they started doing it right and took the whole UK quickly. Another game same thing before that and they did it right from the beginning and it was over quickly. The German invasion ai seems to work sometimes. Ej is gonna work on this issue for the next release along with a bunch of other things. So please have a little more patience.

Hi delanonne nice to hear from you as always! Of course I have patience... I have been playing solely this mod and solely this game for years now, I am very excited about the upcoming changes and of course very appreciative to both you and ej for all the hard work you have put in this!

As for my previous post, I also want to mention that UK was couped at some point during WWII and is now part of the Comintern.. However, they have no problems defending their beach provinces and it would be very hard to do an amphibious assault on them... The problem is exclusively with Western Europe (even Gibraltar was heavily defended by the Soviets even though it has no beach province).

It's not only invasion AI, as I've wrote earlier US isn't eager to send troops to allies at all. The same thing happens in WW1.

Hey M I have seen the US send 30 or 40 divisions to France in WW1 depending on when they join and how long the war lasts. WW2 is another story and the US is gonna get some love as is the Sovs. Tonight I finished a game with the new Version. It was glorius. EJ finally got the war in China working well. The Germans quickly finished off the Poles and French in 1939 due to an early start. They then went and took out Yugoslavia just in time to start Barbarossa in late June of 1940. They finished off the Sovs by the end of the year and had the colapse of the Soviet Union. Sealion was launched by March 1941 against Commie Great Britain. ( the UK came back later) All of England was occupied by November 1941 bringing about the end of the British Empire. England got to keep it's island but lost the Empire. By Jan 1942 the UK is back at war with the Axis. The US even sent some troops to help the UK but by Feb 1942 peace broke out all over the world except for the Japan China war. I have never seen that happen ever. So the mod is running real well now. There are still some minor fixes but the real challenge now is to get some balance so that the Germans do not win WW2 so easily. After a few of you have tried this version please start giving your feedback and ideas about how to balance things out. Oh I had two bad WW1 games the first France creamed Germany in 1915 and the second Germany creamed France in 1915. The third game was the keeper that I just wrote about. You also have the save games that EJ put in this version if you want to save time. I hope this inspires you guys to have a great time and send us some feedback.
