sit and wait, or join us to solve this and other problem, as far i see you have a knolage about scriting events...

TCG need you... like canadian dyng in ypes, or new zeland dyng in galipollli, ya know

Thanks for the offer. A couple years ago I would have jumped on it. But I'm a daddy of 2. I barely have enough time to play. Convenient game as a parent though. Easy to pause and walk away from.

And thanks for your work producing this great mod.

Could you direct me to a forum for development? I made a couple small tweaks to the Misc file and the russian revolution event that really makes WW1 more predictable and realistic.

Hi folks, I'm having a problem with the mod lately playing in the 1919 scenario (which is pre-stored). From 1926 the game starts to stop (sometimes for a minute, sometimes more) around the 23 and 2 in-game. Any idea what it could be?

Hello,

I have some small errors that I know the fix for and would like to pass on so they are fixed. 1 error I have no clue, and some suggestions.

Just post them here?

Hey, love the idea. I played a game as the US, and I had a couple of notes:

1) Is the US Supposed to be on moderate Mobilization for the whole inter-war period? I enter the Great Depression with like 5000 manpower, so I was just curious. On a Similar note, the Immigration act event gives you flat Manpower outside of mobilization, and that adds up to over 1000 once WWII starts, which is probably not intended. Ideally, not passing the act should increase the manpower values of a couple of American provinces, though I'm not sure if that's doable There should probably also be a hefty Dissent penalty for not passing it.

2) Are the Great Depression events supposed to fire as normal? Because the net result is that the US loses like 200 IC but then gains 40% free IC Efficiency, since the way its modeled is different in the AAR mod versus the Day of Decision stuff. I imagine Germany's does as well. It might be better to coordinate these events--maybe make some of the Great Depression events sap IC Efficiency instead of raw IC?

3) The US is still on the -50% Wartime IC modified from WWI. You might want to consider adding +10% to that on some of the US militarizing events like the Arsenal of Democracy and such.

4) The US's air force limitations seem to be bugged. It says I can only build 1 of each type, but it effectively lets me build none at all.

5) A better way to handicap Germany, Japan, and the USSR's IC-spamming would be to give them a +300% IC Build time event like what the US gets. Maybe get rid of it once the 5-year-plans start coming into effect or something, and when the New Deal starts.

6) You might want to fix the "End of the Warlord Era" events for Nationalist China, as they check for whether or not Communist China exists, and as a Result Nationalist China can usually unite the entire country before the Communists even show up. Though honestly, this actually gives Nationalist China something like a fighting chance against Japan, since Nationalist China doesn't seem to build any IC and winds up fantastically under-powered once Japan starts to invade.
Thanks!

Hey DG thanks for the feedback. On item 1 your are probably right but since the US can only have 10 divisions I do not think it matters too much. Item 2 and 3 I agree with. Can you come up with fixes for the US, Ger, Sovs and Japan? We want the US to have about 600 IC and the others only a fraction of it. The huge IC also causes way too many units to be built by those countries. If you can do that I would be happy to make them a part of the mod. Burning the originator of the mod back in 2011 made up the original economy stuff and it is not easy to tweak. That is number 5 I guess. Oh the US should not lose 200 IC. As a player I was able to have the US IC at 487 by the end of the depression by spamming IC. It is still not good enough though. For number 4 it means that you can have 1 unit of each type. It turns off that type of plane after you make one. It seems a bit tricky I know. I will let Kaguro look at the last point. You can PM us if you have any questions or ideas. Oh on the loss of IC, it is a random number of times. 3 or 4 seems about usual.

My bad, I meant the game crash on the penalty IC event for Germany and Japan (who tirelessly built IC over the last 7 years).the game stops for 15 minutes or more because of it, whatever I do, or just stops and sends me to the desk. I have only this problem, the mod works beautifully and is excellent. Keep up the good work!

Hey all here it is, the newest version ...https://mega.nz/#!9E8yGZDI!ktOBOJ7TzqtfmBH8SE0w638rzfn0i3VntbyutrJbXQI
I will add the Media Fire link when Kagura gets it uploaded. We had to remove the WIF events temporarily because the special units (SS etc.) were breaking the mod. We will add the events back minus the special units as soon K can do so. I also do not have a save for WW1 yet. I will post it here for download ASAP. Please provide any feedback that you have. The new checksum is FXDI. Delete the older version and unzip this into the DH Mods folder. Enjoy and thanks K for all of your hard work. He is still also working on the E3 map version. It gives him something to do with all of his spare time.
delanonne

PS I will post this on the page one second post as per usual.

PPS I added the save game for a good end to WW1 on the page 1 post 2.

Hey everyone on this thread I would like you to know that I am planning on no longer using this thread and moving to just the Newest Version of The Grand Campaign. It is a pain to post everything in two places and we always have the problem of people just looking at post number one and then downloading the old version. So could everyone please just use the new thread where I can post on the the first one so we have fewer problems. I already got permission from EJ to do whatever I felt was best for the mod. He may never be back. He has been gone since July of last year. Plus K has redone the mod so it is more his version now. When we have the E3 version it will be even more so. I will keep this going until most of you are on the new thread. Thanks for everything and see you on the new thread.

Yeah , it is pain in the balls to keep track on both threads, one should be closed by the modderator, so it wouldnt be ressurected but would remain for the history

Hey C what I find already is that this thread ends up off the first page pretty quickly. Once you are off the first page nobody looks at you. This is almost the same thing as not existing. So I am happy with just letting it go that way.

Bah, same problems in the new release. The UK gains an insane amount of dissent for some reason in the late 20's or early 30's (not sure what events) and the Caribbean starts a revolution which starts a perpetual war in which the European allies keep their economy mobilized because the AI sucks at amphibious operations. Then in 1935, England declares war on Germany and ruins the game.

Please address this in later releases. Please.

Hey A are you talking about the Great Depression causing a lot of dissent? It kinda did that but worse in real life. It is tough to get through and we are planning on changing it. We are also planning on changing the IC and Force Limit events. The Guyana thing we know about. You can always load up as the UK or France for a second and use Acceptall cheat to do a white peace. It is what I do. We are gonna try and get a handle on the weird Dows. We had them all nailed down pretty well before DH Full 1.04 came and bit us on the butt.
If you let it continue, the UK declaring war does not really ruin the game. I was playing as the Sovs and the game went pretty well, even historic. Germany is very good at surviving attempts at killing it before it grows into a real threat. I have seen this already twice with this version. I am currently testing Ks new mobilisation system which will help keep down armies of a thousand divisions. When we have more progress we will do a new release. As far as the game slowing down, I have never seen this with the IC limit events for Ger, Sovs and Japan. Are you using an older pc? It runs fine on my and Ks pcs.

I have a problem with the game locking up after a few months roll off the clock. It could be game, mod, or even pc related. I use youtube while running the game, but I have an amd a8-7600 radeon r7 3.10 ghz with 6.95 usable gigs of ram. I use windows 7 ultimate. My checksum is SKVT. If there's anyone that can help I would appreciate it. I can set autosave to every month so I don't lose too much when it locks. Is it the youtube(using firefox browser)?

I can see the new checksum is RSCL. I thought I already patched. If there's a specific patch for this to download to get up to date, perhaps someone could help. I'll start to download it again (the overwrite patch), but i think I did this once. Wait. There's another post saying FDXI is the latest patch from Jan 5. Which do I want? Applied the one patch took me to TMCL.

-You could always create an AI event to spawn GAR in the islands before the depression happens.
-My game doesn't slow down. No performance problems at all.
-The DOW issue is because Germany doesn't do diplomatic campaigns enough to keep their belligerence down. You could also mod the sliders so DOW's require higher belligerence for democratic nations.
-Another suggestion. The USSR doesn't use the Manpower focus doctrine in TGC. Instead they use Mobility. To fix this, give them a blueprint for Manpower and they'll always choose it. Though beware, Germany has a much harder time fighting them since the USSR spams hundreds of INF and MIL.
