I think some of the edits are going pretty far.
The triggering of the events regarding Austria, Spain and the Netherlands is not necessary IMO. Austria won its war vs. France because:
a. It had a CRT advantage. France should be able to catch up pretty soon. It has LT 6 and after getting LT7 LT9 is not far away.
b. Austria had one of its best leaders (Frundsberg). And the one that is the best of his era (ok , El Gran Capitan is pretty good too). Anyway, Frundsberg is dead.
Of course it would have been necessary to at least consult the perm of Austria about this. He's losing quite some provs a little early.
Apart from the early triggering, Austria has the choice in the game to keep certain areas. It would be polite to still give Austria this choice when triggerring it.
And the size of NL is pretty absurd. A NL that gets all Dutch-cultured provinces is a very lucky, let alone a NL that gets this many provs.
And again, doing this without even asking the Austria perm is not nice.
On the bonusses.
I think +1 in all techs is pretty much. +1 LT and +1 NT isn't exceptional, but getting trade 3 and infra 4 for free is a lot. These two are among the most expensive techt around. Only techs that are more expensive are infra and trade 6 and higher.
Apart from that I don't agree with the idea behind it. This game (and this scenario) is a historical scenario. Not all countries are supposed to be as strong as the strongest. It's needed to correct the real bad performances, because some inexperienced players more or less wrecked their countries. But if you play Brandenburg (gets edited every session) you should expect to be a minor player for a long time. Brandenburg is not France. It has less income and less MP. It just means it's a different challenge and I think most players will set their goals lower when playing Brandenburg than when playing France.
When looking at Brandenburg I don't think it should get this edits. Martmol started with a bad session, but the last sessions he was doing ok. I think some players played a lot worse last session. And I don't think Sweden has a chance to beat Brandenburg when played by equal players.
And at the request from Umbre. Sure he won. That's why I thought he asked too much. But the war cost him too much. Simon continued for too long, thereby hurting England. So England should get some compensation (not a reward, a compensation) for the damage.
EDITED: Took some time to make this post, missed Krantz's save
