I believe they're equally likely to convert to Catholic, Orthodox, Sunni or Shia.

It can only happen if at least one of the provinces controlled by the Golden Horde is Catholic and the probaility of it happening is increased if the capital is Catholic. So I guess due to geographical reasons it is less likely that they convert to catholicism.
