This is an hour long BBC documentary about industrial design during the Second World War. It's pretty cool in its own right (did you know the Tiger tank came with an "owner's manual"?) but it also captures really well the feeling I get in the beta when I'm tinkering with variants, production and research in my country.
Oh yeah they briefly mention American businesses in the Soviet Union designing factories, which I've actually been reading about recently in the book The Forsaken: An American Tragedy in Stalin's Russia.
