the game troll me again!! Iberian wedding

It's not possible. 5 times tried castile and 5 times for one reason or another the iberian wedding didn't fire. First time, aragon's heir was female and the king died in 1501:angry:. Second time, only man in every throne, but female in navarra and naples :angry::angry:. Third time, game bugs stopped me and I should unistall and reinstall EU4. 4 times I have a regency but aragon always strong and old heir, and 5 times I don't remember but I'm sure was a troll in my facehmy:.

Now this is only a complaint. Is this event possible?? I think this can be the last time I'll try.

You have to not be expecting to get it, otherwise it won't work.

Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. Creating Spain is rather easy even without the Iberian wedding, so my advice is to continue playing instead of restarting the game just because the event doesn't fire.

the thing is when it happens almost every single game when u arent playing castille, it had sure as hell be guaranteed to fire when u are playing castille. DO YOU PEOPLE NOT REALIZE HOW MUCH TIME GOES INTO ONE GAME OF PLAY, EVEN JUST TO GET TO THE POINT WHEN IBERIAN WEDDING IS POSSIBLE??? freemiumware that costs money for the original watch the south park episode thats exactly what this game is and we are all addicts.

Heh, it's pretty rare for it to not happen I've found, but yea. Sometimes it just doesn't. I've had one amusing game where the event didn't fire due to getting a queen on both thrones. Now that was trolling.

Then again, sometimes luck works for you. I've gotten an early Burgundian PU as castille as well. Random is random.

its bsssssss (bliss because its so much fun) that you have to use console to get iberian wedding when u are playing as castille. JUST make it 100% OR make IT SOMETHING REALLY LOW FFS!!! (for funs sake)

I have played 10 games as Castile since launch through various patches and I have yet to see the wedding fire.

they should remove the Iberian wedding event and just make it a general event that can fire for every country given the right circumstances (less powerful of course). May be ahistorical, but I hate railroading things in the game just for the sake of how it happened in history.

I think the PU events are actually harder now with the requirement of same dynasty. I used to get roughly twice as many over the course of a full game.

Do you expect things to happen all the time when you want it to happen ?. Sometimes Events do not fire and that is fine since their is other ways for things to happen. And sometimes they fire when you want. But its random and I like it that way because its random. I want to be surprised by a event then just knowing when it will fire. Hell in all my games I never once had a Pu.. At all with anyone. I see people get it all the time but I never get it. Do I complain about not getting it. Nope I just go with the punches and hope it happens.

But you were just complaing about how the Iberian Wedding was not firing and now you want it to not fire ?. And the Burgundy Inheritance is random which i like..Sometimes Austria gets it.. other times someone else does... still its rare and i like it.

hahaha good one. austria always gets it unless the player is trolling austria hardcore. castillle always gets the iberian wedding unless the player is trolling hardcore.

I for one think is should be much more random because every game plays out the same unless the player does something.

All im saying is that if paradox wants more varied games, they SHOULD MAKE THESE events more VARIED. MAYBE SAVOY CAN GET iberian wedding.... WHO KNOWS????

Dunno, it happens for me about 1 in every 5 to 6 tries. Eventually, if you really want it, you can play through the first 30-40 years pretty quickly if you have your opener figured out...

The real trolling part is its nearly impossible to tell if the Aragon names are male or female by just looking at them (and there's no tooltip to disambiguate if they're the heir). Thanks Catalan.

oh ok, i didnt realize i needed to play the same opening 5-6 times to have a normal, fun game, with one of the most played nations in the game. thanks for informing me of my stupidity.

I disagree that it shouldn't be an event though. The Iberian wedding isn't "just another PU". It's one of the most historically significant events of the entire period, and signalled the birth of the modern nation of Spain. It should however be much more frequent.

WHY ShOULD castille ALWAYS get ARAGON? WHY CANT ANYONE ELSE GET THE PU??? WOULDnT THAT MAKE FOR MORE intereSTING games EVEN IF they ARENT "historical" (lol who plays this game to copy history?)
