This reminds me of an old game I have. Similar to risk, a picture of the world. You get so many starting armies. Takeover the world.
This seems very good though. Is the 3d engine looking good? I hope these ideas of diplomacy, production, economy are real. Like EU. Is their a religious factor in the game?
It's called Defcon correct? When is it scheduled for release or is there no date?
I read a little more and this game seems like a larger EU. But with some really cool stuff. Over 140 playable countries. I hope the real military units have color other than gray. I'm drooling. I hope the game will be detailed enough that you can't take over the whole world but can expand in other ways, or even slightly militarily.
I think a great idea would be scenarios for such a game.
If you had a WWII scenario for this game. Who would need World in Flames. This would be a million times better. So many neat scenarios could be built.
It would take some time though to include such scenarios as ancient times to the 19th century. Maybe even impossible for saome ideas, but the sheer prospect I'm ashamed to say seems more attractive than civ III. That is if such scenarios could be made in this game.
