Yes the timing of the events is a bit tight but it all depends on when Mehmed would have been convinced to send the letter to his father. By the way the letter is a quote from the real letter that Mehmed sent to Murad. It's very interesting seeing how it's worded. It gives Murad the option to be Sultan again or if not then he has to obey his sultan, Mehmed, and come lead the army. Somehow it doesn’t surprise me that he chose to be Sultan again. I have a vague vision of a rather ornate meeting between Mehmed and Murad in Adrianople. But I'll wait for your post.

I had Ishak send his seneschal your way directly not through Mehmet as soon as the word of Hunyadi's betrayal was obvious, some pages ago, refering to the possibility of treason (going around the young Sultan)

I'm amazed you managed to dig out the real letter

Don't wait for me, I have to go to the Hospital tomorrow with my wife, so its uncertain when I could be ready with a post.

Ah, I forgot about that part. Good it makes more sense that Murad would be ready to go on short notice.

Yea the internet is a great tool to find obscure letters.

It will be Thursday at the earliest before I can post anything more on Murad. I guess we should get consistent of Mehmet/Mehmed spelling. I'll change to using Mehmet.

My wife was pregnant, the son is now 6 months, Stroph's wife IS pregnant due anytime

Thanks for the well wishes Stoey, the wife is fine now I hope, its only answers to the follow up tetst, it was more of a touch and go in august september when they discovered the tumor in her head, thank god it was benign

She is fine, all pictures shows only the remains of the surgery, the Tumor is all gone,

unfortunately one of the subculturan selfdipsosing stitches didn't disolve, so now its oozing something, we know on monday if its infected either way she'll a stictch or two to close the gap

Very true. Although due officially on Jan 26, the baby was 6 pounds, 4 ounces at week 33 so will not go that long. We have doctor visits all the time.

So when I disappear without warning....

How is Sea Sprite a good choice? Have I missed something? I took it from the name of a ship a character of mine sailed on back in the very early '80s while playing AD&D...
