Not sure what to do with it, V...Amric wouldn't leave his post, and with the infantry coming up quick, he should wait for them to show up. Any thoughts?

I've just spent a good part of the morning reading through 3 pages of absolutely great writing. It was by perfect chance that I began with the leadup to the assault on Nissa, and I have to say that all the pieces fit together so nicely, from so many disparate points of view, that I think you should all take a bow for a job well done. God, I'm impressed.
It would be criminal of me to interfere at the moment, but I would suggest that Sulyman realizes that he's outclassed, and would likely leave the city to its fate.
The fun part will be when he reaches Ishak with hat in hand, only to find out that Ishak is in the same boat.
I'll try for a Sulyman post tonight.
Once again, it's writers like you that make the Free Company so special and so damned good.

Glad to see you approve of the course of the battle. I was badly worried that Captain's plan would appear less than plausible. I'll send you a PM with an idea I had presently.

Hawk I can edit it down if you like, its just that my weekend looks kind of booked and with the three hour meeting that suddenly got cancelled I suddenly had time on my hands at work for the the first time in weeks
I was afraid that if we had to play it out it would stall the process a bit like our interlude in Florence....

No problem, V -- you're right, I'm not eager to hold anything up. I think we're doing a good job of sticking with the overarching plan of giving glimpses of what's going on elsewhere while keeping the action Company-focused. If I put anything together, it'll just be Hunyadi's reaction to his impending victory.
It took me four tries to try and get my post up...and then I had to edit it on the fly as I was going to be my boys off the school bus. So if I have to edit, let me know...

T-H, I responded to your PM. I kind of like my idea. I think the reaction would be natural under the circumstances. BTW, your handling of Captain was perfect. You gave him just the right amount of calm detachment under command and obvious concern for the men. I couldn't have written better for him myself.

I was referring to the '...what happens next?' PM. It shows that it hasn't been read. Maybe a bug in the software. I'll delete it then.

Interesting factoid for all: I'm not sure you could do this in the previous version, but now, if you click on the number of posts in a given thread, you can see how many posts each contributor has made. I was surprised to discover redwolf still has a substantial lead over both Valdemar and Amric... my own feeling being that, if he didn't have to wait for the rest of us to respond, Amric would've finished Book VI himself by now.
