Also excellent post V, I figured Johan would "forgive" Bernhard, but combine the spilling of true emotion to Rosa and the fact Johan wants to make sure Rosa understands he's not just trying to bed her, then the short confinement would flare some anger but would then cool off.

Actually it's useful for some of my thinking on Robert too. Poor lad is short on friends. Could have a bad effect on him in the end, who knows?

Hey all,

Sorry I've been lax in moving my corners of the plot along, but unfortunately, in the course of trying to resolve a serious computer issue, I managed to give myself a much more serious computer issue -- that is, complete computer failure. (That's what I get for trying to upgrade to XP. )

Fortunately, my latest repairs seem to be progressing well, and I still have access to email and the Internet, so hopefully I'll be up and running in a day or two. In the meantime, I hope to get a Maria/Cosimo post up sometime tomorrow.

Enough of my whining. Keep up the excellent writing, and I hope to be back in the middle of things shortly.

Shawng, I finally scored season one of B5. Now I have to find the time to watch it. Like Storey, I had trouble getting into the whole series at first, way back in 93. But, once I was hooked, I was hooked. It's still the best SF series ever made for TV.

I've phoned MrT last weekend, but he hasn't returned my call. I wish I could tell you more, but I can't.

I found a late Renaissance city map of Ancona, which I'll post here tonight. If anything, it will give you an idea of the city layout. Ignore the star bastions that surround the city though - wrong era.

Until the threads of the various delegations draw together the FC will be in training/waiting/let's-not-get-in-too-much-trouble mode.

Well my experience with B5 was different in large part because it wasn't until it got its home on TNT that I really was able to watch it all. Back in 93 I was still doing submarine duty out of Bangor, WA. Made it hard for me to follow any TV show.

I've written two of my papers and one of my exams. Just one exam left. So it's off I go to take that, and then I'll be able to put tetelestai over this semester.

Regarding Babylon 5: I watched it a couple of times but, like Timothy said, it was never broadcasted correctly in the Netherlands.

By the way, I'll be visiting Venice in early June (partly as a part of my history studies, partly for fun). Are there any places of FC interest that I should see or take pictures of?

Cool. How about the Doge's Palace and the Church of St. Mark? Make sure you visit the site where Guillaume's head was on display.

Shawn, I guess I should assume that everyone is writing papers at the moment, so the inactivity will last for a while yet? Haven't heard from fusag or Stnylan for quite some time.

TheF, its been awhile since I was there but IIRC then they have a great naval museum on one of the islands,

Mostly though it is the city itself, the doge's palace, rialto bridge, st. mark's basilica, the canals and if you are so inclined a few very good museums dedicated to the Ventian painters.

Also as a curious thing, see if you can find Corleone's statue
