I was debating whether or not to post it, but ld was going to move us to the 24th, to get the out of towners in, and he's yet to say anything of substance to the other characters.
Hmmm. Your first post says nothing about the coming conflict, just a coincidence that could be God's will. That being the case, can I have you change your date to the 22nd Faeelin, so I can bring everything back in line? There's no reason why they couldn't have landed earlier in the week and decided to ride to Florence, hearing about the possible conflict on the way.
Considering the amount of writers involved, I always announce dramatic shifts in time at least a day in advance to allow everyone to wrap up whatever they're doing to prevent stuff like this happening.
But, not to worry, this usually happens at the beginning before everyone settles into a rhythmn.
So, it's still the 22nd, gents.
Now, I have a bunch of reading to do.
