I apologise for my lack of posts the past few days.

Work is very busy, and I have people yelling at me all the time. I hate this!

Still, I'll try to get something up in the weekend. Judging by my luck recently, that may not happen.

Actually, I figured Frederik was the punctual type; the logic underlying my having him turn up late was that he wasn't planning on baring his soul to a priest (which, given the number of topics he covered, probably took quite a while).

I like the bit with the dolphin, though I still think you're taking Maria to have more of a soft side than I've always conceived her as having. Still, only edit if you feel the need.

Yup I started a new contract this week which leaves little time right now for the AAR.. but now that the weekend is here and I get accustomed to the new hours and such, I'll be cranking out more posts...

Sorry for my absence over the past few days, gentlemen. I asked MrT to kind of oversee things for me, and I want to thank him.

As I just mentioned in my Portugal thread, my place of work just laid off 10% of their workforce. I survived, but I saw a lot of friends go. I've been helping out as best I can.

I'll try to get back to posting later today.

That's what I've been doing. Sometimes it takes a few days for the fallout to filter through.

One good friend had 28 years experience. I've got 27. This company has gone through this crap three time in the past 6 years. This was the first time I was sure my name would come up...

Fine, I'll summarize the dinner. It was tense and somber, with the occasional moment of levity to throw the rest of the night into sharp relief. Now, patrol on!

edit: Oh, Faeelin, I kinda meant the northern stretch of the land walls, which would be the western walls. Oops, my bad. Well, if Laurena turned the wrong way, she could see the Golden Horn.

Now Faeelin, check where LeClerc is positioned. He's on the landward wall, near the Imperial Palace, nowhere near the Horn or the Boom.

E_C, the Turk hasn't arrived yet, so you can't see his campfires. You'll know when the time arrives, which will be...

Well I've been waiting all weekend for someone to report to Captain that the army was gathering near Boghaz-Kesen and preparing to cross...or for someone to check out the unusual "fishing boats".

In the interests of moving the thread along, therefore, I have now bumped the thread forward to the wee hours of the 17th and added a new map.

Your nothern scouts have now reported home (sometime) and you spent a while looking across the way, so you will now be able to determine the following:

- a large army seems to be gathering near Boghaz-Kesen, although they don't seem to be taking great pains to disguise their movement
- a strange collection of fishing boats seems to be gathering there too. You'd think that they were disguised transport vessels...except no one with any real experience has looked at them yet. Perhaps you might consider doing that on the 17th?
- a large army seems to be gathering considerably more secretly near Uskudar
- either you are horribly mis-informed, or when you add up the two approximations there are too many men over there. As far as you knew a day ago, there were probably around 15k-20k over there and now there seems to be something a lot more like 30k+

The crappy map I drew has been updated to show this with a collection gathering in the slightly wider area of the Bosphorus and another near Uskudar. Make of it what you will...
