I'd have to completely destroy the US navy, bringing an extra year or so of time into the AAR. And even then, as I said, supplying the pincer attack is just unfeasible, sadly. There's no way I could get that many supplies safely through the Pacific. Really wish I could though, that would be incredibly fun and interesting, but it's just not possible. If you have a solution for supplies though, I'd be more than happy to hear. And simply the numbers of convoys won't help - I need a lot of ports to supply an army as large as the one I'd need to pincer-attack them. No way I can capture those (Hitler has learned not to assume a weak enemy by now :p)

I agree with your option, the US is clearly your main threat... if they even land on UK, you are going to have a bad time...
Yep. Landing on the UK would be the worst possible scenario - they'd gain a foothold onto Europe and they could strat bomb my cities to rubble.

I think it's reasonable to hit the USA too under these circumstances. Japan is bogged down in Siberia, it will be months before they can threathen anything of value to you. In the mean time the USA and Japan can sink each others fleet while you get control of 95% of the world's IC and stuff :)

Part XL: Europe is Conquered
2nd November, 1943 to 10th of December, 1943

Bulgaria was one of the few remaining countries in Europe at war with Germany, and it was quickly hit by forces from Romania.

qAPtMxX.png

One push into Italian territory forced the Italians to give up a large corridor of territory, which was used to stage an attack on Rome. It held out for only a few hours.

Vy21y9m.png

As many countries before it, Bulgaria was quickly rushed by the great Blitzkrieg tactics of the mobile infantry of Germany. They surrendered.

zbXe5Uo.png

Italy was almost over; forces were racing down to take the last remaining cities.

rboZ9by.png

phfbPCq.png

The new Italian government based in Palermo mocked the German infantry, promising an army of 8 million to come crashing on the gates of Berlin. Unfortunately for Mussolini, Italy surrendered the following hour.

5lClkrJ.png

The Japanese had brought in several more infantry divisions to take the Russian far east, and the strategic-redeployed forces had barely reached Rostov. A lone infantry division was summoned from towns along the Amure river to fend against the Japanese invasion, but that could only halt the Japanese for a few days at most.

But Hitler was extremely happy. Europe was now his and his alone, shared with no other threats. Switzerland and Sweden were his trading allies and they had given him no trouble, so he let them stay neutral. And vichy France had an army of a massive 2 divisions of poorly trained infantry. Undoubtedly the USA was preparing for the soon-coming invasion. As the German navy continued to grow, Hitler planned more and more.

pgzwZO7.jpg

But a massive reconstruction of the army was needed - dedicated panzer corps would be created, to fully exploit any gaps in the US lines, rather than have to wait for infantry to catch up. The airforce needed to be restructured too - tactical bomber wings would be assigned escort wings to protect them from the advanced American fighters.

And of course, the actual battle plans needed creation.

I'll take a break from all the invasions and such and actually make some rudimentary plans sometime soon. also, i - might - be able to invade via Mexico as well, but that is entirely dependent on the infrastructure.

Yep :p

And then I'll simultaneously declare war on every remaining country and crush everything under my mechanised forces :)
But to my memory the US has 2 million soldiers or so. My entire offensive army only has around 1.5 to my memory. That means I need to do a massive encirclement at the beginning, before the US has a chance to create defensive lines.

Portugla is still around, too! Are they trading partners as well?

They have a big empire with many VPs out of Europe :\
But they are somewhat. TBH it's really not attacked so I have something to press invading US forces against (instead of ports which they could escape from). So long as they remain, Spain will be a stupid place for the US to attack.

Hm... you could possibly mod the game so that you give Northern Ireland to Ireland and make them join your faction. If you're interested, that is.

Part XLI: Hitler's Secret Weapons
10th of December 1943, to some date, some year

Well I forgot half the date because I was away for a week but now, here we go. Consider this an interlude as I wait for the forces to reach Japan.

The brand-new Berlin-Vladivostok Highway was nearing completion over in Russia, and Hitler decided to move his forces to the massive train system, speeding up their movement to the Japanese invasion significantly. A German spy placed in Japan had told Hitler Japan was not expecting any German reinforcements to arrive for at least 2 months, knowing the poor infrastructure of Siberia and Russia. They had no idea about the highway.

6h9Hea1.png

Though, of far more interest to Hitler was the nuclear reactor that was being built near the very secret rocket testing facility. These he would use to wipe Washington off of the map, or perhaps some other US city with a significant industrial base, to show the true power of Germany.

QI7p31Z.png

Within a month, while production of the reactor was still in progress, at a secret factory in south Germany a very special division had been created. It was exceptionally slow and very fuel-demanding, but without a doubt this was the most powerful division that had existed in human history.

nK1oNRo.png

The carriers were pouring into the German fleets, too.

WzDL4QW.png

Another special unit had been created - the fuel-heavy but ridiculously fast rocket interceptor, the Komet.

giIdYtC.png

Hitler didn't really know what to do with it, he just ordered it to be built so the rocket production facility would get some experience before he launched his massive strategic rocket production campaigns.

And finally, in less than half the time the Japanese had predicted, the Germans had already gotten to the Far East and preparations had begun to open a new front.

Check the save-game date maybe? :p

It seems the Japanese were stopped by your grand army of one division. How come Manchukuo isn't invading you?

Also, why use mechanized infantry with SHARM? You can use leg infantry for that :p

My IC is over 700 at memory (cant be bothered opening the game to check) :p

But yes, 2 ShARM brigades at your service. Though I don't think I'll be using them against the Americans much, it's just something fun to have :)

Check the save-game date maybe?

Nah, my one division has failed every battle it's been sent at. The Japanese just aren't moving much. I didn't really want Manchukuo at war with me, but I could happily make that so. I really didn't want Japan to invade there at all, I wanted to take out the island and the Chinese mainland of Japan all in one go, rather than in two separate campaigns.

Mech with ShARM just to give it a tiny bit more soft attack :)
Really, considering the cost of the unit anyway, going from inf to mech is not going to be a huge loss of IC :p
And if I ever upgrade the engines enough, then it will be useful haha

1943 and you are dreaming of nuke Washington DC? niiiiice
I was dreaming of it in 1936 ;)

I don't know where I will be nuking though. My plan is to draw the Americans into an area, then nuke it. Destroy their industry, a bit of their NU AND some of their army all at the same time.

Those SH Arm are just supportives, it'd be more reasonable to change one for HARM or somesuch :-/
They're useless things. I just wanted to finally build one. I've never built one before, and it's going to be annoying to supply that thing if I ever bring that into America.
Plus their tech levels are awful so they're probably weaker than my Arm right now. And to be honest, I'm not a bit fan on HArm either. They're strong but too expensive to produce a lot of, and too slow to exploit holes in lines.

What is the width of the SH Arm division? I would think they all end up supporting the Mech Brigade.
SH Arm has no width at all. It's a single-width brigade. Even more strong when you consider that.
Totally useless. Bombing will crush it to a pile of steel. Combat modifiers are ridiculous to memory.

Really, I don't see a point of them at all. I just wanted one :) - call it propaganda: 'what other country could have built such gigantic tanks but the mighty Germany?'

Maybe I'll just keep it in Berlin. It's basically a level ten fort garrison. If the US does invade me while I'm off invading them, I'll have something to hold them back with :p

Part XLII: The Far East is Safe
11th of March, 1944 to 7th of June, 1944

starting school again tomorrow and it's 2 AM but I can't go to sleep so I thought I'd update instead. enjoy.

As Japan was completely unaware of the railroad that had been built, the forces from Germany came far more quickly than they had predicted. The Japanese realised something was wrong when they spotted an entire corps on the border.

The Japanese had no time to prepare for the attack, and soon were pushed back from their positions in Russia. This was the effect Hitler often wanted - a surprise attack that would take a country before they could react.

The Japanese were soon scattered, many of them retreating to Manchuria and Korea.

After a little more movement, Hitler found an excellent location to stop his forces from advancing. Behind a river, even with a marine division, Japan would find it hard to get back into conquered Russia. Hitler had no plans to attack Korea yet - he was worried enough about the long coast, and the short distance between the coast and Japan.

After pushing the Japanese back to Sakhalin, Hitler decided to leave the far east alone. Any more prodding and Japan might unleash its entire army, and all of Manchuria's, which would create a large hole in Hitler's plans to attack the United States. The far east may yet prove itself to be a region of constant back-and-forth marine invasions, while Hitler's main forces invade the US.

Hitler was also anxious to hear of further news of the war between Japan and the United States. According to his stationed spies, there really wasn't a lot of naval battles going on - either one of the sides had lost most of their ships, or Japan and the US were deciding to conserve their strength for the real war - the looming invasions by Germany. His spies also told him that New Guinea was being heavily occupied by both American and Japanese forces. It was unknown exactly how many battles took place here, however.

And finally, the path was clear for Hitler to begin his campaign to invade the United States. All he needed was a restructure of his airforce, navy and his land units, and he would be all ready. This would take a while, though, of course. This waiting time would give him the opportunity to prepare his nuclear weapons.

Good to see an update!

Guinea is a really interesting Island in this situation. There are 4 factions all over it... :)
So, next up is the USA, hurray!
