Try to land in Marseille or anything else on the southern coast of France with all the troops you have (or attack with a small force and then full assault with the rest.) Then the Frenchies will start crumbling fast because they will be attacked from 4 sides (3 from the south and north via Germany where the most troops will be located). Only watch out for the occasional UoB fleet in the Med...good luck!

I have some terrible news my comrades. :(

While fixing a slight problem with my save file, I wound up rendering the file unplayable. So thanks to stupidity on my own part, I sadly declare this AAR dead. However, since I have played ahead to November 1940 I can afford to tell you what happened in the playthrough.

After the war started I focused my undivided attention on the Socialist Republic of Italy, utilizing my two marine divisions to attack Sicily and then once i had a foothold, sent in the rest of my army to take control of the island. I used the same marine units to then launch an amphibious assault on Naples while my army moved towards the mainland. After I took Taranto, I annexed SR Italy on July 1940, but because I was stupid enough to leave my transports in the open, I wound up losing all but two transports. That plus the fact that Papal Italy denied me military access meant I spent the next 3 months twiddling my thumbs waiting for new Transports while the Entente all but collapsed on me.

By the time of my last save, Canada was already lost, and I was fixing to launch an amphibious assault on Northern Italy. I wanted to fix a small detail on the save file where I actually had two of the same countries as part of the selectable nations and I wound up f'ing up badly. So I apologize to anyone reading this and I hope that I will be able to start on a new AAR that I hope will be completed this time so I can right that off my bucket list.
