EC forces advanced far along the west coast, encountering little resistance from the Lunarist. The first encounter between Changeling and EC forces took place between Applewood and Mead Resort where a Confederate militia engaged a Changeling Infantry unit before retreating shortly after. However it soon became clear EC forces may have overextended themselves by advancing so far forward and EC forces retreated east of Mead Resort at the river.
Near the coast of Las Pegasus the Las Pegasus navy attempts to defend several of its convoy's from Changeling submarines. Along the Chanegeling army are several divisions of Olenian collaborator. For perhaps various reason such as having fully brought into Changeling propaganda that Equestria must be destroyed and are a threat to their way of life. These deers have chosen to work with the enemy. These units are generally view as expendable and less valuable then a "Changeling" division. As a result they are often used for operations that will result in high casualties such as the attempted naval invasion of Las Pegasus.
The Changelings would continuously push EC forces along the west coast. EC forces were simply not able to hold positions against Changeling tanks and were forced back. It was decided the EC would make a stand along the river that runs near Las Pegasus and organise their defences their. This gives valuable time to move divisions from other sectors of the frontline to the defence and the river provides natural defence against the Changelings. Several Aztlan divisions would move forward and hold their defences against 4 Changeling tank divisions to give other EC forces the opportunity to retreat. The battle lasted for several days and in the end 125 Panzer II's were destroyed by the Aztlans before they pulled back.
By the start of September 1011 the Lunar Empire has been mostly confined to north-eastern Equestria and most of the Changeling lines were in contact with the EC. Aztlan forces were concentrated in the west and eats. On the west they had set up defensive positions behind the Las Pegasus river and the remainders were making their way through the river to join them. On the east Aztlan forces face barely any opposition from the Lunarist and have even captured Fillydelphia but orders to advance are halted along the river that runs from Fillydelphia. High commands is worried advancing further would overextend ourselves and the river makes a well suited defensive position. The centre between them including Canterlot are mostly held by other EC forces.
With our forces fully behind the Las Pegasus River. EC forces were ready to make their stand. Machine guns emplacements and trenches were established behind the Las Pegasus to hold back the Changelings. The Changelings made attempts to cross the Las Pegasus at several points and were meet with a hail of fire from our defenders. Aztlan commanders kept attentive during the course of the battle. Should one section of the frontline fall under heavy pressure from the Changelings then that section would be reinforced by other divisions to prevent that section from falling. The defensive line along the river provided its worth as Changeling attacks were repulsed again and again.
The Chaneglings would continue to make attacks along the Las Pegasus River for the remainder of the year. The Changelings had hoped breaching the Las Pegasus River defences would cause Las Pegasus to quickly capitulate and the EC lines to collapse. Instead the river was littered with the corpses of destroyed Changeling tanks and infantry. Addition volunteer forces were even sent to the EC by Jakistan and the Griffonian Republic.
In Griffonia the Prywhen Republic continues its war of liberation by going after the free Towns of Gryphus and Hauklands declares war on the Dragon Isles. Sicameon is crushed by Wingbardy which opens up a land route to Cyanolisia. The Cyanolisia army is defeated in the land invasion and its territory given to Asterion. The Griffon lIberation Alliance faces difficulties in their wars, not helped by the presence Wingbardian volunteer units fighting against them. A confrontation occurs in the Riverlands as the return of the monarchy to Lake City has led it to exit the River Coalition, taking Deponya with it. Lake City has created the East-Griffonian Co-Prosperity Sphere and declares war on the River Coalition.
Parts of Cyanolisia were puppeted by Wingbardy but I forced a transfer of those states to Asterion.
At home the efforts of the Civil War on the economy has mostly disappeared. Still the economy can still improved and social focus was given to the Stableside region. The construction of military factories and those used from territories we captured has allowed us start gaining a surplus on infantry equipment from which we can use to train new divisions and even build some fighters. Still this meant we needed more resources. A investment into the Stableside region will allow us to become more self sufficient. Additionally Blue Heart was hired appointed as part of the high command staff.
For now the frontlines had turned fairly static, the Lunarist had deployed most of their reminders to face the Changelings and their frontlines against the Aztlans was nearly empty. Despite this the Aztlans were still ordered to hold their positions. The Lunarist only held a small section of territory left and any addition losses would likely cause their capitulation.
While the Changelings were battered from their failures to breach the Las Pegasus, they were still very powerful. Much of their forces were still fully operation and parts of the EC front were thinly held which would likely break if the Changelings made a determined attack. Despite the Changeling's failure to fully defeat the EC, the Changelings still found success as there were able to force the Polar Bears into submission and force a white peace to the Winter War with the Penguins which restored their pre war borders. With Polar Bear gold and resource being used to fund the Changeling war economy. The Changelings won't be faltering anytime soon.
