I think perhaps it would be more immersive if the feminine declension of dynasty names could be added to this game for Roman, Greek, and Slavic cultures, as their usual-masculine surnames would be feminized for females, for example:
Of course, since the implementation of dynasties is hard-coded and thus hidden from modders, I have no idea how hard it would be to realize this mechanic. But I still would like to share some of my ideas on this:
If the dynasty could be considered similar to defined data types in java, consisting of various attributes and methods, according to the script codes in CK II, it at least would have 4 explicit attributes: name, CoA, culture, religion.
For realizing the declension mechanic of dynasty names, one could either duplicate the name attribute, map the original "name" attribute to the display of surnames for males, and the second to the display for females. Or, one could go the "Imperator: Rome" way:
- The mother of Romulus and Remus, Rhea, was from the royal family of Alba Longa, which used the nomen "Silvius", and her full name would be "Rhea Silvia" instead of "Rhea Silvius", and analogously for all Roman women in history;
- The author of Alexias, also the daughter of the Basileus Alexios I Komnenos, Anna, used the feminized form "Komnene" of "Komnenos", analogously as her mother, a grandniece of the DAMN Konstantinos X Doukas, Eirene, was surnamed "Doukaine".
- The daughter of the last Russian Tsar Nikolai II Alexandrovich Romanov, Anastasiya's full name was Anastasiya Nikolayevna Romanova.

As we can see, the name of families in IR is defined with multiple entries separated by dots and respectively for male names, female names, family names, and adjective terms. I think perhaps this nice mechanic could be imported to CK and EU series.Flavius.Flavia.Flavii.Flavian
