I have this idea for how The Expanse could be worked into a Stellaris game.
For starters, the Sol system is a lot bigger, and Mars and Ceres (among others) are inhabitable, as Tundra and Arctic ("Ceres was once covered in ice") planets respectively. Martians have trouble on Earth and Belters can't handle the planet at all.
For another thing, only Hyperlane travel would be enabled and Sol would have no lanes connecting it to other systems.

Earther: Continental Preference, Nomadic, Strong.
Martian: Tundra Preference, Conformists.
Belter: Arctic Preference, Industrious, Nomadic, Weak

The UN: Militarist, Xenophobe, Materialist. Democracy, Cutthroat Politics, Parliamentary System, (Shadow Council).
Mars Congressional Republic: Authoritarian, Materialist, Militarist. Oligarchy, Nationalistic Zeal, Technocracy.
Outer Planets Alliance: Fanatic Egalitarian, Militarist. Democracy, Idealistic Foundation, Mining Guilds.

After an event chain involving the Protomolecule, a single hyperlane connects Sol to a "hub" system with no inhabitable planets but a Precursor station at the center. The system links to 30 other hyperlanes.
