Yea, that is the primary disappoint of mine. No graphical editors at all! Even crappy Age of Empires had a kickass editor! EU2 was rushed like most PC games today, hence why I refuse to buy games until their price drops bigtime (I bought EU over summer for $7 brand new!).
Some people, like myself, don't have the patience to sift through code editting things, testing it in EU2, than go back to code again. Than the hassle if it won't work and can't find the code conflict. So yea, go ahead and brag that EU series is so customizable, the average gamer won't mess with it. And you wonder why EU doesn't sell good, it lacks in the areas that SELL!
So ya better crank out a downloadable scenario editor with a nice graphical display of the map for quick and easy editting or existing scenarios, or creation of new ones.
hmrph..
