EUTOPIA INVADED

Early this morning US forces invaded Eutopia. Like Afghanistan and Iraq, today Eutopia finds itself under illegal American occupation.

And our gov't, under a statement from MDIA, is not going to resist, comrades. NO.

Talk is we're going to support this hostile invasion.

Our president, Mr. Langley, as he's done since his election, has said or done nothing.

Citizens, this is serious. US forces have emerged from their base in Farpoint, killed Eutopian citizens and have occupied the city, thereby estabishing a base from whence they can continue their invasion.

This is an outrage.

A CALL TO ARMS

We ask you citizens to resist the invasion by any means necessary. This is a call to all revolutionary groups, whose aim is to protect Eutopia from beligerent American capitalsim, to take up their arms.

We can no longer trust the government to protect Eutopia. The government has betrayed us.

We give the government 24 hours to prepare its defences and to begin removing the hostile American troops from Eutopia. Failing that we will take matters in our own hands.

The time is now. Break off your chains and RESIST the oppressors.

These actions are justfied under Eutopia's rarely used and somewhat controversial "War Powers Act". (OOC: Remember, Eutopia has not protection of human rights or civil rights in its constitution)

Police order:
*josephus is to be brought in for questioning, and the EUtopian worker is temporarly shut down for inciting revolts against the government.

LANGLEY= A MODERN DAY QUISLING?

Eutopia is in a state of chaos and the government seems to have lost control of the situation. Peaceful protestors get sent to jail with no charges laid; newspapers, such as this one, get shut down and meanwhile the illegal US occupation of Farpoint continues. The sovereignty fighters fight on valiantly; but Langley's Vichy government attacks them.

Meanwhile ESRP member Captain Tretiakov, a high-ranking member of the Eutopian Army, who pushed for military reform has disappeared. He was last seen in WET assisting the Topa villagers with agricultural irrigation. Have the Americans killed him? Did conservative rebel elements withing the Eutopian Army silence him. Was he a victim of the right-wing terror group NERA? We'll never know.

Langley, or is his name really Quisling, in his campaign, promised law and order. He's delivered none of it. It's time, comrades, to take him to task. We, like all Eutopians, agree that the situation in WET is out of control.

For months now, the government has been seeking out ghosts, believing so-called terrorists are socialists and supported by this Party. Some believe that even I am associated with terrorists. The truth has shamed them into silence. It has always been right-wing agitators in the miltary and otherwise that are causing the problems.

We think it's high time Langley reinstated the Commission on Terror. But Langley is afraid, knowing an investigation into NERA will reveal some close allies of his.

We demand the government does the following:

1. An appeal to the United Nations to end the US-occupation of Farpoint.

2. Propose a Bill to Parliament ending the American presence permanently.

3. A full investigation into NERA, and other terrorist groups, arresting all those bringing chaos to Eutopia.

4. Release and pardon of all the sovereignty fighters who resisted the US occupation.

5. Reopening the Commission into Terror.

6. Immediate introduction to the Assembly for a full Bill of Rights, guaranteeing freedom of the Press, no arrests without charges, and other rights that almost all other "civilized countries" adhere to.

7. The resignation of Minister Lundgren for his unprovoked shutting down of a public voice, the Eutopian Worker.

LANGLEY AN INSULT TO EUTOPIANS

With about half of its term served; it's safe to say that the Jake Langley government has failed to serve its nation. At the risk of being imprisoned and tortured by the freedom-hating president for daring to dissent, let me state my piece.

Some may argue that the US invasion of Eutopia's sovreignty may have disrupted Langley's presidential plans. I would believe that if we can see that Langley has acted in any way to repel the unlawful invasion. Instead all we have seen is the Eutopian military hunting down peaceful protestors; arresting dissenters willy nilly; and bending over to the whim and dictates of the Invader.

Eutopia has a proud history; this shameful act of subservience to an invading superpower is an insult to all Eutopians.

Also shameful is Langley's disregard of Eutopian democratic tradition. It has been common for all presidents of the republic from Murmurandus to O'Floinin to set up committees on all major issues prior to proposing bills in the NA. These commissions are ideally made up of members from across the political spectrum; so when a consensus is reached, NA approval is normally a rubber stamp.

But Langley eschewed all this. Instead all proposed Bills have been secretly discussed in private chambers by members of Langley's kowtowing cronies.

The result is obvious: The NA has failed to agree to anything. Bills get debated endlessly over semantics--things that should have been agreed upon PRIOR to being introduced. This is the least productive National Assembly in Eutopia's history. We're not blaming Speaker Glasser for this. The fault lies strictly with Langley.

So far, none of Langley's promises have come to fruition. We haven't even got a budget passed. Meanwhile the "temporary" occupation of Farpoint by American forces seems to be becoming more and more permanent.

Once again we demand the government to act

IS LANGELY OUT SELLING POST CARDS TOO?

This newspaper harshly criticized former president O'Flonin for being absent during a crucial time in Eutopia's history. ESRP illustrious leader Josephus called for a vote of no-confidence; which was misconscrued as a push for impeachment. He was merely pushing for a new election.

Well it appears our not-so illustrious president Jake Langley must have franchised O'Flonin's post card stand, probably with US money, as he seems to have disappered at a time when Eutopia stands so perilously close to becoming a U.S. puppet.

Has Langley taken a U.S. bribe and disappeared?

The National Assembly has called on the president to respond to the recent CIA raid on a freedom-fighting group's HQ. This HQ was in Eutopian territory. The president has made no comments.

A new lobby group, the CIE, is also asking the president to explain how and why the American anti-freedom organization, the CIA, is freely acting in Eutopian territory. This is how the CIA toppled many a democratic regime in Central and South America in the 50s and 60s.

The government's silence means complicity. Like a guilty person, the government appears to have gone into hiding; refusng to respond to these accusations. These are serious accusations.

It is time for the government to respond. Otherwise, we have no choice but to once more call for the NA to be dissolved and a new president elected.

WHY LANGLEY SHOULD GO ----
SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Last term I, Josephus, called for a no-confidence vote on then-president O'Floinin.

This term, I have seconded Commander Stewart of the DA's, call for a no-confidence vote on President Jake Langley.

To a casual observer it may seem that I, and by extension the ESRP, is merely out to disrupt the government. That we seek to create anarchy.

Nothing is further from the truth.

Some have stated that this is a personal battle between myself and Langley, one started long ago.

Nothing is further from the truth.

Langley promised to pass a budget as part of his election campaign. But failure to live up to campaign promises is not enough reason for impeachment.

This is true.

In fact, I'll concede that Langley has lived up to a few of his promises. He campaigned tirelessly to wipe out "terrorism" for instance. Recently we have seen the dismantaling of organizations like NERA and MEOR.

Although I, and many others, have questioned his modus operandi on this. Truthfully, it took surrendering our national sovereignty to the USA to take on Eutopia's terror groups. And in its place we see the Environmental Fascists almost achieve political recognition.

But I've gone on about that many times.

That Langley has disregarded Rules of Order in the National Assembly is also not reason for impeachment.

Nor is Langley's repeated failure to answer questions directed to him by the NA.

Nor is his failure to observe democratic tradition by discussing policy in open commissions, as have governments before his.

Nor is his failure to control his own ministers and the military in their excessive use of force against peaceful demonstrators in Farpoint.

Or his infringement of a standard freedom of the press by shutting down this very newspaper.

No, none of these are cause for impeachment.

What is, is failure to observe the Constitution. Eutopia's constitution clearly states that the president is responsible for bringing to the NA a budget within two months.

Langley not doing so, and his excuses not withstanding, is a violation of constitution. Our constitution offers no other recourse. It is my feeling that Langley has to be impeached.

Will this fix our problem of not having a budget? No, of course not. But that doesn't mean we should get on as if nothing happened. We now have in place a fair system of succession, unlike last term.

Langley's removal will not lead to chaos as some have implied. We have survived without Langley during his "illness." We can do so again.

This is the truth.

JACOB LANGLEY

Former MILE Jake Lundgren appears to be in serious condition at Eutopia General today. As I write this, his prognosis is not so good.

My relationship with Mr. Lundgren goes back a while to a bar brawl at Brewtopia where I angrily hurled a cigar butt in his face. Since then, our relationship has been one of mutual respect.

I have always maintained, on the record, that although politically Lundgren and I were polar opposites, Mr. Lundgren has always done a superb job in the rather busy department that is MILE.

Even when he arrested me and shut down this newspaper I respected his position. Mr. Lundgren dedicated his last few years to Eutopia. Though at times misguided, his devotion has always been sincere.

At this time, I and the ESRP send our best wishes to Mr. Lundgren and his family. We hope there is a miraculous recovery. Mr. Lundgren deserves nothing worse.

BEWARE THE WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING

Comrades, citizens, workers of Eutopia.[/CENTER]

You have spoken through the latest polls. They show that you are tired.

Tired of Eutopia's mainstream politicians who, time after time, fail to deliver.

You want a change. You know that the ESRP is the only party that represents your interests. In the past, though, you were afraid to vote for us. You were misled by the opposition's use of the words "communists and terrorists."

Who misled whom? You voted for Langley. What did you get? An American invasion. And Langley disappeared. Not once, twice.

Although Langley is out of the political scene for now, his legacy remains. Morgan, Tulp, Streusser, O'Floinin. These are all former supporters of Langley. They may have changed their name. Changed their look. But they're still Langleyites at heart. Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing.

The ESRP is not a communist party. We are a workers party, committed to fighting for the rights of the workers, ahead of the interests of the business community.

Citizens, you have stated your point of view. You want jobs and a sound economy. The ESRP assures you we will deliver. I will be delivering an economic plan shortly.

Citizens. This time vote with your conscience. You know the Eutopian Socialist Reform Party is the only party that can deliver you from your economic oppression.

Trust us.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Sir,

In your last editorial you say, "Although Langley is out of the political scene for now, his legacy remains. Morgan, Tulp, Streusser, O'Floinin. These are all former supporters of Langley. They may have changed their name. Changed their look. But they're still Langleyites at heart. Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing."

I am distressed by the statement. Also confused. You have the right to interpret the polls however you can, and I don't argue with that, but you do seem to make your own "black-list" of Langleyites.

What's a Langleyite? What does a Langleyite believe in? What's a Langleyite's goal? What's their motivation? Leader? Basic goals? Who's their Presidential candidate?

Ah, I got you on the last one! They have several, who are going to fight each other, aren't they?

And since when is Admiral Tulp, who as far as I know was never in Langley's political party or staff, a Langleyite? And what of our MDIA, whom Langley once praised for his "shallow self-centeredness"?

Oh, well. I'm through for now. But I'm still,

Confused in N.L.C.

THE WEAKEST LINK

It seems our dear former president Mr. Jake Langley is back. For how long, who knows? Of course we wouldn't make light of his health problems, should they in fact exist. It just seems uncanny how Mr. Langley seems to disappear just when the odds seem stacked against him.

But, should Mr. Langley really have health problems, then we wish him a speedy recovery.

Mr. Langley is now forming a lobby group. This is commendable. In fact almost all the action he lists in his new manifest are ones we can only agree with. However some are curious given that, they come from him.

One who could have acted on them.

I shall only pick two to discuss as examples for now.

1. Bill of Rights: Many essential freedoms, such as freedom of the press, speech, and religion are a matter of practice in Eutopian law, but are not guaranteed by the Constitution. However, these freedoms must be tempered as to not unduly hamper law enforcement.

A noble venture indeed. One that the ESRP has put on top of its agenda. Seems, odd, though that Mr. Langley is pushing for freedom of the press and freedom of speech. What's equally troubling is his statement that these rights are "a matter of practice in Eutopian law."

Are they Mr. Langley? Was it not under your adminsitration that I, Josephus Locke Sergei, was arrested for printing an editorial that criticized the government's handling of the U.S. invasion? I was kept in a cell under Mr. Lundgren's supervision, under your orders, without charges being laid.

Wasit not under your adminsitration that the Eutopian Worker, the one newspaper that polls show Eutopians believe in the most, WAS SHUT DOWN?

2. National Budget: The National government needs a budget. Certain areas are in great need of additional funds while others do not use the monies allocated to them. A comprehensive budget is needed and should be the first priority of any administration.

Yes. Mr. Langley. Eutopia needs a budget. Shame you never get one passed in YOUR administration.

No, Mr. Langley. Maybe it is time for you to bow out gracefully. Your time has passed. You're the weakest link.

Goodbye.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Sir,

In your latest editorial you make two mistakes. First, you say that former President Langley had you arrested for criticizing the American invasion. Not true; he had you arrested for telling "all revolutionary groups" to "take up their arms" (quotes from your own paper). That sounded pretty violent to those of us in government. (Besides, you were released very quickly, by EUtopian standards.)

Second, you say polls show the Worker is the most trusted. No polls have been conducted regarding newspapers; I give you that the ESRP is the biggest party, but that doesn't mean the Worker is the most trusted paper.

I assure you that I love reading all your issues, and love writing letters back about each of them. Best of luck retaining your readers,

Charles S. Morgan

RESPONSA:

It is not customary for us to respond to a letter writer. However the last letter by Mr. Morgan begs for a quick rebuttal.

Morgan writes:

First, you say that former President Langley had you arrested for criticizing the American invasion. Not true; he had you arrested for telling "all revolutionary groups" to "take up their arms" (quotes from your own paper). That sounded pretty violent to those of us in government

Two points: The editorial in general was a criticism of the government's handling of the invasion. We implied that since the government wasn't going to resist we felt (and still believe we were right) that others had to "take up their arms". As I explained countless times (well maybe once or twice), by "take up their arms" I meant against the invader, not the gov't.

In any case, Langley still violated freedom of the press, regardless of the reason.

[Second, you say polls show the Worker is the most trusted. No polls have been conducted regarding newspapers; I give you that the ESRP is the biggest party, but that doesn't mean the Worker is the most trusted paper.

Merely an interpretation of the polls. The polls suggest that the population's growing support of the ESRP has a lot to do with the Eutopian Worker. If they didn't trust us, they wouldn't support us, now would they?

THE MASTER OF MURDER

"Judge" Caesar Anton has blood on his hands. The Fort-Aux Francis "judge" has murdered again.

His tenth victim is Jorge Sebastian. Mr. Sebastian has pleaded his innocence till the very end. His guilt was mostly based on the fact that his DNA was found in HIS car.

But we are not here to prove his innocence. That is for the courts.

But Jorge Sebastian should not be dead. Guilty or otherwise.

The death penalty is an outmoded form of punishment. Most civilized, democratic nations, have long ago banned this brutal act. Protocol No.13 to the European Convention on Human Rights prohibits the Death Penatly at all costs.

The ESRP has long championed the outright banning of this barbarious, henious act. The present administration was, according to law, supposed to have reopened debate on the Death Penalty, but like everything else, it never did.

We ask the president, Mr, IKK. We ask the Attorney General, MR. O'Floinn, to remove this murdering bastard from his bench before he kills anyone else.

Ways to socialism

It is possible to transform a society to socialism by means of democracy. Allende proved it.

But did it help him? He was not the one to take up arms. The counter revolution, when feeling that their power structures, their wealth monopolies are dangered, will not stop acting in their interest. As soon as the constitution of the burgeois state is not in their interest anymore, they will find other ways. They don't watch when they are about to lose their privileges.

And what does it mean for us? That we have to be prepared. That we have to transform the bugeois state to a socialist state. We must not place too much trust in representative democracy, although we have to defend it against the even more backwards forms of society.

The Civil war. It does not seem to matter who starts, who is the bad one. Wether the workers revolt because they want socialism, or the burgeoisie coups because they want fascism, it doesn't make so much of a difference. As soon as the clash of interests results in the question "we" or "they", egalitarianism or elitarianism, socialism or capitalism, constitution and law do not count anymore. What counts is the balance of power.

Methods without violence? If that is true, how will the socialists ever build up a class free society without spreading blood all over Eutopia? This is a hard question to answer. But, contrary to what the rightits here in Eutopia seem to think, socialists are not blood hungry monsters.

First of all, the Eutopian army will have to introduce compulsatory military service. Why? Because the standard Eutopian does not want to kill people. We do not want an army that is gun-insane, and if we only draft volunteers, we will more likely get the ones who are gun-insane. Our army is here for defense purpose, so we need people who oppose violence as soldiers.

Secondly, we should avoid accumulation of large sums of capital. This capital will not want to help building up a society with fair chances for everyone, it will act in its interest and support a fascist coup. (And the rightists should learn history if they think this is nonsense. Chile, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy.) The more influent this capital will be, the more efficient it will be in its fight against socialism. Do not forget that large sums of capital hold influence that lacks democratic legitimitation.

Thirdly, we will have to tell the public what we want. That we are not a party of crazy wannabe reds, but that we have concepts, that we know what we are talking about, that our theories are based on reality. Most rightists want to claim that this is not true, but they fail in explaining things or creating a good life for all the people. Those two things will never be achieved in capitalism.

Surveys show that workers everywhere in the world show less support for socialism if they are asked if the support socialism than if they are asked if they support the ideas of socialism without telling that those are the ideas of socialism. The Cold War was connected with a huge propaganda campaign against reds, which was just in favour of the capitalists. How much anti communism is a lie gets clear in the theory of the domino effect: Destroying communism whereever it occurs so that nobody will notice what kind of an improvement it is for the working class. And I want to remind you, dear rightists, 95% of the population are counted to the working class.

With politics being understood as what it really is, socialists can only win.

THE MYSTERIOUS AFFAIRS
OF JAKE LANGLEY

Well a new term is now upon us. The election was close, and it appears that Professor Talbott won the presidential election by a narrow margin and spoiled ballots.

I have personally engaged in debate with Talbott a couple times, and he seems to be a reasonable person, who is unlikely to cause much distress.

However he isn't off to a particularly good start, in my opinion.

His choice of cabinet is rather odd.

Julseau as MDIA? This is the same guy who was sent to the funny farm a few terms back. The same guy with a rare and rather eccentric national assembly behaviour.

And what to make of "Retired from politics" Mr. Jake Langley?

This "retired from politics" Langley now holds a seat in the national assembly, thanks to Michael "riding my dad's coat tails" Lundgren AND the most powerful ministerial position of all, that of the economy.

This the same Langley who, whilst he was supposed to be president, was seen in Switzerland with a suitcase. Making a deposit, we suppose?

I thought that I was done with criticizing Langley. I honestly thought that in the few minutes he spent "retired from politics" he did an admirable job archiving NA legislation and his Tribune was a far cry from that radio spot he once had.

In fact it was quite readable. I actually thought he'd be a good thing to have around, this so-called lobbyist. I thought of inviting him over for Sunday dinner and watching some NFL action some day.

Say what you want about Langley, and I've said a lot, I always admired the man. Truthfully I'm rather jealous. This guy comes from nowhere, is seen as a fringe rightist, and puts together a number of coalitons so that before you can say "nationalist freak" he becomes president of the Republic.

He does an extremely poor job as president. He is seen as collaborating with an American occupation, fails to pass a budget and disappears just as it is getting exciting.

He reappears shortly thereafter, tail between his legs, and realizing his political ambitions have been squashed, announces his "retirement from politics".

But Langley, being Langley, he has no intention of lying down quietly. No, as I've stated, he puts out a newspaper of reasonable quality and forms a lobbyist group.

But here's the kicker. Minutes after the election, an election he didn't run for, he is handed an NA seat and the top ministerial position. One can only wish to hear the backroom, cellphone dealing that went on between him, Lundgren Jr. and the president elect.

Now, Langley is finally given the opportunity to pass the budget he really wanted to pass the last time. And, in the final twist of Langley cunning, he appoints Von Streusser as his deputy--thus almost guaranteeing that his budget will pass the National Assembly.

Jake Langley. I'm impressed.

I hereby name Jake Langley the winner of the first ever Machiavelli Awards for shrewdness in politics.

Congratulations.

Dear sir,

I went to read your recent issue in excited anticipation, afterall you were one of the few people there for my family and i respect you for that.

First off cell phone dealing? I made it a point to campaign on lowering backroom deals. I talked to Langley only when it became my knowledge that i needed to find another member for the extra NA seat that I won. Yes that seat was not won by my dad despite what you may think. My supporters, staff and I fought a hard campaign and won just as many seats as the esteemed ESRP won. Why you deem it wise to try and belittle a potential support of your alliance; ESRP,DA,CRP, is beyond me but nevertheless here you are trying to do so.

Rode my dads coat tails into power eh? Dang i guess my many speaches were wasted. Too bad you are so much wrapped in your beliefs to think it possible someone honestly wants to help his country out. Too bad you seem to think it is impossible for a man to win on his own ideas and effort, that i must be handed everything as a spoiled rich kid. My father was not born into riches or power, and just like he worked hard to get where he did before his death, I am now working, and will continue to work hard to strive to better myself and my nation.

ps. though the "jr." bit was an attempt at an insult of me, i would be proud to carry on my fathers legacy.

Michael Lundgren<<

EDITOR'S RESPONSE:

The editorial in question was more of an attack on Mr. Langley than you. Still, a matter of clarification is necessary. The "riding your dad's coat tail" comment is based on the fact that it is quite feasible that your success in the election was based on your "brand name." The Lundgren name is a well known, respected name in Eutopia.

And if you really were looking to support the ESRP, DA,CRP Alliance, would you really invite Jake Langley?

Mr. Sergei:
Though I have come to expect it from your publication, your most recent attempt at character assassination goes far beyond the bounds of good taste and decency. It is one thing to attack my policies, as you and I have sharp differences over many issues. It is quite another to attack my integrity.

When I announced my retirement, I was never certain it would be permanent. I only knew that it was right for that moment in my life. However, my health has remained strong, and I have a desire to serve the Eutopian people. When President Talbott announced he was interviewing canidates for his cabinet, I decided to apply. The position I initially sought was MDIA, but I did mention I had an interest in MTEF as well. I went on to state that I viewed Michael von Streusser as the best canidate for that position, but offered my name as an alternative. I was as surprised as the rest of Eutopia when President Talbott named me MTEF.

You also seem to believe my appointment of Michael von Streusser as Deputy Minister was political. Hardly. In case you forgot, I appointed von Streusser as MTEF during my administration. Clearly I value his talents and expertise in the field of economics.

As to my joining the ENPP and representing them in the National Assembly, it was another surprise. Michael Lundgren contacted me and asked me to join the party and serve as a MNA. Since I view the ENPP to be a reasonably close representation of my personal progressive conservative ideals, I accepted. That's all it was, one phone call offering me the position. None of the sinister dealings you suggest.

Lastly, this particular line in your muckraking article is vile, even for low standards set by the Eutopian Worker. “This the same Langley who, whilst he was supposed to be president, was seen in Switzerland with a suitcase. Making a deposit, we suppose?” I was in Switzerland recieving the medical attention that I needed. If you want to attempt to imply corruption on my part, I'll be more than happy to open up my personal finances to public scrutiny. However, I'd only ask that you open up ESRP records and meeting minutes as well. I'd be curious to see if there is any truth to the suspcions SAW agents reported to me regarding your party and and a certain now defunct terrorist organization. What do you say, Josephus? I know I have nothing to hide.

EUTOPIA TO NATIONAL ASSEMBLY:
IS ANYBODY OUT THERE?

I stand corrected.

Previously I stated that this term's National Assembly will be the most conservative assembly ever. That items favourable to the right, and unfavourable to you, workers and citizens, will be de rigeur.

I was wrong.

Not that the Assembly has been enlightened in any way. But mostly due to the fact that----there's nobody home.

It begs the question. Are UFOs kidnapping our politicians.

Let's look at some examples.

Per Bram Borgman, of our own Party, resigned his seat. Thankfully Per Dunderdon filled in his shoes.

Glasser disappeared---his replacement IKK also disappeared.

Per Cook resigned. Amric tried to replace her; but the Speaker did not allow it.

Strausser recently resigned.

Looney Joolsey, our VP, is missing in action.

Martinez, our speaker, quit but changed his mind. Only to be kicked out by guards acting on nobody's orders that I'm aware of.

Jake Langley, once again, is off somewhere.

And Mediverri....Medi who?

By my count we have five of 12 serving NA members.

This is a serious travesty.

Our president stated at the opening of this Assembly:

You stand today on the cusp of a new era. We have found ourselves at one of those very few times in history where change is possible--true change, that can benefit all Eutopians. A balanced budget...a budget...a reduction of government waste...an improved economy...a reform of our judicial system...guarantees of basic rights and freedoms for all...and countless others. And it is you, you chosen twelve, who are in a position to produce that change. we must not waste our time bickering over pointless trivialities for days on end. We must not let base tendentiousness and partisanism prevent us from acheiving what is best for Eutopia. We are the elected representatives of Eutopia, the servants of the state and the people. A charge has been given us by the people--and it is our duty to fulfill that charge. We must not be led astray.

Well, once again we're waiting on a budget; not to mention everything else. No one's saying it's his fault. But somehow, somewhere, we need to find our MIAs.

And now.

This paper has just been informed that Mr. Von Streusser has not in fact resigned from the National Assembly. We regret the error.
