Pressure grows on US over Liberians

When the UN began puting pressure on the United States to send peacekeeping troops to Liberia it was met with some issues.

The first is that the United States military is stretched to thin and it might not want to get involved in another country. The second is the fear that Liberia can become a Somalia and the American public is not yet ready to see a disaster with troops dieing on a daily basis in Iraq.

In Liberia the people struggle to survive in a humanitarian cricis, all they care about is peace and a end to the suffering.

Special Report

The Inner Cities of Eutopia

As I drove down Jones Street in New Lancaster I prepared myself mentally for the coming interview with John Roberts.

Roberts is 32 years old and recently released from prison, he was parolled after 5 years. "I had not father or mother, I only had my two brothers" Roberts began.

"Our older brother was 22 and he had grown up with our parents and was old enough to raise us"

"He had sold drugs since he was 8 years old and when our parents died 20 years ago we all started selling drugs, we were born into it"

"He was a good brother, he taught us how to read and write but also how to shoot a gun"

"Thats how both my brothers died, in a hail of bullets"

"I was 16 and alone"

This story may seem unique but its the norm in the inner cities of Eutopia. In all the places I traveled I saw the hardship of the streets and poor. The problem is not racial but people who ignore the inner cities, many people dont think it's important. In the city boom of the early 20th century these inner cities was where the night clubs and hot spots were. The great depression ended that and it resulted in Eutopian gangsterism, Jones Street is a centre of gang violence.

Sadly the government has ignored this issue and now it's growing. 10 years ago, Eutopia, had a recorded 400 gangs, now it's 12,000. Tons of drugs, mainly the Thai drug Yaba and Coccaine floods in with merchant ships and even fishing ships from Europe.

When I left John Roberts he went into his bedroom in his 3 room apartment in a broke down apartment building with some white stuff on the stairs and floow. I can decide if it's coccaine or paint from the walls.

Foundation of Militarist Association causes issues in pacifist movement

Two days ago Roger Smith of Smith International Corporation founded U.E.M.A a assocition focused on the growth and improvement of the Eutopian military. It caused a short but uninspiring protest outside The Eutopian Market which is owned my Smith International Corporation.

Roger Smith told our reporter "I have nothing against pacifist but I have a personal belief that pacifism is not possible in this day in time". A pro-pacifist protester told the same reporter "We understand Mr Smiths views but we must do all we can to make the world a more peaceful place".

The protest had no affect on the skyrocketing growth of the Smith International Corporation income and power as a Corporation.

Bob Hope dies at age 100

Famous Comedian and all around entertainer died last night at the ripe old age of 100.

Born in London in 1903, his family moved to Cleveland when he was four years old. His mother was a singer and his father was a artist, his family was very poor and he worked hard for most of his childhood.

He quickly became a radio and film star in the 1930s and in the middle of the Great Depression he made $1,000 a week. During World War II him and his comedy troop entertained American soldiers in Germany, thus beginning a Bob Hope tradition.

He went to Korea to entertain troops 6 years later and became an American icon. He did more films and went on TV shows, even having his own show in the 60's.

He risked his reputation and went to Vietnam to entertained troops in a war nobody wanted. He continued to entertain for the last decades of his life until his death last night.

Bob Hope holds the record of an entertainer with the most awards. He is survived by his wife Delores, 94, and his 4 children.

Military Review

With the latest international threats you would think our Eutopian military would be prepared and ready for any threat bu that is not the case.

I met with a Colonel Johnson who controled a medium sized base in the north west. I wanted to learn about our military and what I saw was disturbing.

As I entered the base I saw the soldiers lined up ready for roll call and the physical activity of the day. They had on their backs a old rifles and slightly worn uniforms, I was not impressed so far.

The average Eutopian soldier is a conscript and has low morale due to being forced in the armed forces as well as the poor quality of their equipment.

"We have a commission for military reform but very few reforms have been made and with the new threats of the 21st century we must be prepared" Colonel Johnson explained.

As I left I realized that our military will not stand a chance against the new threats of the 21st century.

Per IKK badly hurt in RD HQ bombing

Per IKK, a high ranking member of the RD party was badly hurt in a RD HQ bombing. Nobody knows who would want to bomb the RD HQ but with the recent bombings of the Oragami Lion something is definately going on in Eutopia.

Roger Smith said while leaving the hospital that Eutopia must act to solve the problems that cause terrorism. He also said he hopes for IKK's survival.

Mysterious Letter from Possible Origami Lion bomber

Citizens of EUtopia, I am the Lion.

What you have seen happen is only the start. I have planted devices in many public places around EUtopia. I will detonate them unless my demands are met.

My demands are as follows:
1. I demand the immediate disbanding of the Parliment and the suspension of all elections.
2. I demand the restoration of the monarchy.
3. I demand that the United States be ejected from EUtopia, and all political and ecomonic ties to it be severed.

If my demands are not met, the devices will be detonated. The Government has one week to agree to my demands.

-The Lion

What will the government do and when will they do it?
