Why you ridicule him is beyond me. You must have misunderstood something since the whole thing is very easy.

What ridicule? Just pointing out a few oddities, and continuing my campaign to wipe out the misuse of the word "loose". :) Nothing personal was said or meant.

You wrote: "So only one person has ever done a WC? Wow."

It was obvious, if you read what he wrote, that seidita was well aware that this was not so. Of course, everyone, that has any experience on these pages, knows that this is not so, we all know that WCs are done now and then.

seidita also explained, in the post preceding yours and the one you therefore can be assumed to have responded to, the reason why there was one and the same person who had all those "WC records", that the reason was not that this person was the only one who had conducted a WC but that he was the only one who had presented info about it in this thread.

I do like your campaign for the correct spelling of lose :)

Time to wipe out a few of Daniel A's records - until somebody else starts digging up old games, that is ;)

The Timurid Scientists AAR game is the only WC where I have really kept track of the basic statistics, so here they are

  • First documented WC [This one is going to be hard to beat :D]
  • VP = 28,893 [highest VP]
  • BB=1036 [highest?]
  • Total losses: 22,771,359 (of which 12,703,600 died in combat, 10,067,759 attrition) [highest total, highest combat, and highest attrition :D]
  • Monthly income: 4,413d [highest, but easily surpassed by anybody building a lot of refineries]
  • Most needlessly overpowered assault: 330K inf, 70K cav, and ~1000 artillery vs 7,500 strong medium fortress in Dublin

From WAAR of the Worlds, we have
  • Number of shipyards=124 [highest]
  • Only documented annexation of the Zorthon Alliance :)D)
  • Only documented retaking of the world from tech 60/60/10/10 aliens owning most of it already :)D)
If I could dig up the numbers, I bet it would also get the "highest neighbour bonus" nomination :D

Most stupid AI siege observed (and probably highest AI attrition in a single month observed): AI China (using the Asian manpower mod) attacking a tax-value 2 mountain province in Indochina with 393,000 infantry - and besieging despite having land 7.

Read WAAR of the Worlds, an old AAR by Prufrock451 (The Aliens, aka. the tech 60/60/10/10 demonspawn, the Zorthon Alliance) and I (The Austrians, aka the Bright Empire, the valiant defenders of earth). There should be a link to it in the EU2 LibrAARy, and it is possible that some of the images are still working. (Though I would not bet on it - free online hosting is rather unreliable)

Ah, the WAAR of the Worlds, one of the first Aars I read and one of the most enjoyable ones.

I have tears of nostalgia in my eyes atm :)

I bet you would have "the highest neighbour bonus in MP" when you played the Mughals in Tsunami :) I mean I as OE had 32 and was something like two CRT's ahead of your Mughals at the time. I still feel good when I hear Orissa :D But Johan went and put a max on neighbourbonus...

Anyway, since I possibly can't make any good record, I have to go with the pitiful attempt of the highest documented BB in MP under 1.07 :
117.4 as OE in Machiavelli I in 1779
(altough I am sure sombody will break this one in seconds flat, but hey, this is the best I could muster)

Well, Hans, who played Mysore in Tsunami and had 1/4th of my provinces must surely have been the player in Tsunami with the highest neighbour bonus. :D

Tremendous fun defending Orissa with less than honourable means against the Austrian imperialism when Johan wanted to reannex it.

Note to those confused by this exchange:
Tsunami was a massive MP EU2 game last summer. Amongst many other notable happenings was tiny two province Orissa revolting from Austria (Johan) and gaining independence. Straightforward the Great Mughal (ME!), the Lord of Mysore (Hans), The Sultan of Constantinople (Jarkko), and the Shah of Persia (I forget who this was), declared that Orissa would remain free and independent. For the Great Mughal, this was the natural extension of previous policy, as he had decades earlier declared an end to (unpunished) European expansion in India; for the other muslim nations, it was a question of faith.... None of us minded the huge neighbour bonus we got from the Orissans being some 20+ land and naval tech levels ahead, though.

The next beta patch put an upper limit of 25d on the neighbour bonus :D

I think it was Loke, at least during the time of Orissan freedom fight.

It was nice to be part of a true *selfless* freedom fight for a fellow nation, even tough the Ottoman participiation was to only spit in the general direction of Austria...

I'd like to submit the category of "strangest random AI country to own a piece of Ireland," with my candidate being Poland. I'm sure someone can surpass that, though - but at least it's a common weirdness which should be fun.

Another one is, "most AI countries owning pieces of Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales)" - mine being "six": Mecklemburg, Wales, Puritans, Scotland, France, and England.

Another one is wiping out religions. If people can say "I wiped out Confucianism", I'd like to hear about it. I missed wiping out Shiism by one province once, but that's the closest I've come.

The problem is that a lot of the really wacky things are hard to quantify. Some things I've done which I'd say qualify as weird but I don't know precisely how to quantify or "beat" them:

Conversions:
As Benin, converted and released Navarra as a Pagan vassal.
As the Turks, converted and released Eire and Norway as Sunni.
As Lenape, converted and released Eire as Pagan (seeing those huts in Ireland is really something if you've never tried conquering Ireland as a North American).
As Novgorod, converted and released Eire as Orthodox (as you can tell, I like playing with Irish religion).
As Byzantium, went Catholic and then Reformed, spreading it throughout the Balkans and Asia Minor.
Multiple times, I've converted most of the Arabic world to some form of Protestantism - releasing the KoJ and then force-converting them, as well as doing some of the work myself.
Diplo-annexing the Dutch after going Reformed as Nippon ('strangest diplo-annex'?). Releasing a Japanese Reformed Mexico.
Goading an Omani AI into force-converting me, without cheating, as the Kaliphate.

Colonization:
Colonizing the entire Siberian tunnel as Brunei, and then diplo-annexing the remaining khanates on the other side. Russia was not pleased.
Colonizing Australia as the Incas, multiple times.
Making a straight line of colonization from Table to Iraq, as the Kaliphate. Obviously that's been beaten, though.

I dunno, probably a lot of people have done wackier stuff, but if so I'm interested to hear about it.
