Plenty of begging in that update. Good to have China offering you provinces. I find they are one the hardest nations to get to offer you peace.

I find that too with China. Because the diplomats are so valuable, with the larger nations Im trying to get 99% warscore, so that I can just accept their offer (which most of the time aint bad). With 2/4/7 odd province nations if Im getting 100% warscore, they generally offer everything anyway. So I can hold onto diplomats for annexations or requests on particular provinces here and there...

The world is going to look good in red. Handy to get all those island provs off of Venice. I really don't like the time it takes to invade all of their posessions. The rest of the world sure is a long way behind you in tech.

Most things look good in red. The less nations there are in the world the better, more easy to manage, now Venice only has her capital, like many others and in 5 years time they are sure to dow again, then there demise shall be savoured.

This is tech currently...I guess there should be dividends to having made so much money to start with. You know the saying from 'Scarface'..."First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the woman', well its alittle similar here except its, ..."First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get....what...only more money".... :D

Perhaps EU3 will fix that :D

Hmm Africa and India are going down with a lot less of a fight than I thought they would. I always like conquering my way across Poland-Lithuania. It feels good taking so many provinces.

Well at least you don't really have to worry much about the Amercias.

Another possible tune would be 'Anarchy in the UK' ;)

The land tech difference is a huge key. I have only lost a couple of battles to very large forces...where England only had a few thousand troops.

It's certainly true since they remodelled revolts large conquest sprees are easier to manage.

Hi! I've been browsing through this AAR (reading about a third in the process). It's very interesting and of an original concept. Congrats tRD. :)

I have a question though, following me from the first page (or was it the second one?). Just how do you synchronize looting ? I've never experienced much profit in looting, and I strongly suspect that "synchronization" (or lack of it) is the key here...

Cheers and thanks, (synchronized looting) basically what Duke said, when an army of yours is in an enemies province on the end of a month (and it is NOT in flames already / NOT been looted already) you will loot that provinces yearly tax (I dont know the particular amounts) and this will go into your budget on the 1st of the following month and that province will now be in flames, so if you had your budget slider all going into the treasury you would have just gained that looted amount plus your normal monthly income for .1% inflation. Now if you had 20 provinces doing the same, that is to say - synchronized looted 20 provs. Now if you had 40 provs doing the same...we wont go there :D , you can make serious/serious money synchronize looting for very little inflation, the time that it would take to make this sort of money by saving yearly taxes would be like forever or just minting as per "normal" -not at war, jsut doesnt yield the same results.

Alot of people ask this, I think I shall write a short explanation of this plus screenies :) to help explain this better.

Yep, sort of a new entry in the EU2 FAQ section. Though I must confess I haven't visited this one for ages... :eek:o
