From the little research I did for my defunct Majapahit AAR, the representation, while not the greatest, is probably the best given EUIII mechanics. Majapahit was almost a half century into it's decline, and almost a century at a 1444 game start. The vassals in the region are probably best represented as independent given how poor EUIII vassal mechanics are.

The only issue I had was the uncolonized terrain, and that the AI in that region never went for colonization ideas.

As it was in EUIII, Majapahit was a fairly fun game if you rushed a colonization tech and got some CoTs on the coast. With the CoT mechanic gone though, you'd need to get colonists another way.

Heyyy it's you! I loved your Majapahit AAR, as well as your Byzantine one! You know your stuff more than the Emperor himself! EUIII + HTT starts at 1399, few years after Wikramawardhana's coronation, so Majapahit should still be pretty powerful but disintegrating through civil wars with pretender rebels such as in 1405. Most of the uncolonized regions should've belonged to Majapahit, and Pajajaran/Sunda should've been its own independent state west of Majapahit, instead of being uncolonized. At least Aceh, Brunei and Makassar should be vassals of Majapahit that have bad relations with Majapahit and can rebel at any moment. Majapahit was in decline, but not that much by then. The problem is Majapahit is presented to you as if they're a small nation that has potential to grow, instead of a fallen empire that is declining, such as the Byzantine Empire.

In de voice of EDI:

That.... was a joke.
he's not a nationalist, he's simply asking questions about an empire in his nation's past. He isn't being unreasonable simply asking questions. I hate how when people ask questions about their country's representation in any game they're a nationalist -.-

No I'm not a nationalist, I'm just doing what's best for my empire :). I like to see a difference between Indonesia and Majapahit.

But really, the situation in Indonesia in EUIII is extremely historically inaccurate. Forget the things about "how Majapahit was meant to be much bigger",

If you check the cultural mapmode, the eastern half of Indonesia is animist and Papuan. That would be more accurate for a situation in the 4th century. They should be Hindu or even Muslim (especially in Ternate and Tidore), and certainly "Sulawesi" culture. (I mean, Sulawesi is the "K"-shaped island where Makassar is, so wouldn't it be ironic that Sulawesi isn't of Sulawesi culture?
