The "Eastern Front" (and other Majapahit rambling)

Welcome again! The Emperor of Majapahit here, and I'd like to ask: How is the Asian front? More specifically, is there Glorious Majapahit in the game? As we all know, they were a very powerful nation in Southeast Asia, though, as my dad says, their historical greatness is obscured by historical absence. How about, instead of starting out like in EUIII, they should start out like in the Death and Taxes mod? As in, they start with many vassals, but those vassals are turning against Majapahit (and really just the Muslim peril that is dissolving Majapahit and making way for Mataram)? What about the other Asian nations? Are they practically the same as the previous game? Any new ones? Not asking lists, just asking generally.

Sorry for being completely off-topic, but looking at that map I really wonder why Majapahit didn't control the western half of Java. It looks so strange.

Thanks for enlightening me. It's funny how Sunda isn't a country in EU if they were a rival to Majapahit, but I guess they had to draw the line somewhere to make the colonial system work properly.

No, no, anything you know from any possible released information, say a trailer? I saw the "Religion" trailer, and it seems that Majapahit will be the same as in before. I wonder if there's still time to revamp it so that instead of Majapahit being a small nation, they are a small nation (what they own is the core region) with many vassals but are declining.

The pic of the world in the latest dev diary shows lots of disappointing holdovers from EU3. Extremely bland and inaccurate Indonesia, modern instead of late medieval borders in North Africa (though perhaps this is accurate for 1444 - all I know is that in the old 1399 start, Tunisia should have owned a nice chunk of Algiers), Georgia which owns more land north of the Caucasus, where they never were, than in actual Georgia...

You do realize that some of the supposed greatness of Majapahit is a complete lie made up during the first President of indonesia? Sumpah Palapa and the claim that it encompasses Malaysia and Irian back in the day were kind of an elaborate CB?

I'm not exactly sure how that is, to be honest. I mean, I like to see a separation of the Republic of Indonesia and the much greater Empire of Majapahit. Most knowledge of Majapahit comes from mythical texts, so there's obviously embellishment, but it's pretty nuts to think that it's some form of modern propaganda. My dad actually thinks that Majapahit is even greater than what historical records say, actually, and he says that "the Dutch took the historical records of Majapahit", though that doesn't explain why Dutch researchers have released that knowledge. What next, say that I'm not actually Majapahit royalty? I don't know, so how would I know?

But back on topic, is there enough time for Paradox Interactive to improve on the historical accuracy on parts of the world they ignored in the previous games?

For something that supposed to be myth it have good wiki page and enough relic

Anyway doubtful Indonesia need to create special CB for taking Irian, after all from the start it's already claim everything that the Dutch have in the archipelago. In the end it also hold more or less Dutch colony only.
