I fixed the old problem, but now I'm having a new one. Enemy units aren't routing even when the combat progress against them is 100% - this applies to all nations, and the diplomatic status is normal (at war, nothing else).
Could you eloborate a bit on this please. Do I understand correctly that units do not take damage at all, or are they withdrawing before being wiped out completely?

Neither, they don't rout. The combat completes and instead of routing the combat just freezes at 100% and no sides take any further casualties.

Well I tested it on AOD and I see no problems whatsoever. Units are losses as espected and when surrounded are completely routed. I tested it on Darkest Hour and I got a lot of unknown string wanted errors. I am assuming missing combat events. However I have barely played Darkest Hour and am not familiar with it. The problem however can't have anything to do with the map itself. Bear in mind the E3 map is not a fully playable mod. Does anyone of the original E3 creators for Darkest Hour have any idea. I am afraid I cannot help with this particular error. I am only responsible for the topographic look of the map and that seems to work as intended.

Ok. The map files have been updated. Took way longer than anticipated, because while I was at it I made use of the great debug feature and corrected all other remaining errors (as far as I can tell). So what has changed

I did add new provinces:

Charleroi - Belgium - 1989
Bonn - Germany - 2015
Ghent - Belgium - 2547

All these provinces were not painted, so I just used the ID for new Provinces

Wilhelmshaven - Germany - 2102

I merged three seaprovinces near Madagascar to form two and used the free ID

Rovigo - Italy - 7992
Riva del Garda - Italy - 7993
Arezzo - Italy - 7994
Dortmund - Germany - 7995
Duisburg - Germany - 7996
Chemnitz - Germany - 7997
Utrecht - Netherlands - 7998
Breda - Netherlands - 7999

Piave
Somme

Mostly for the WWI scenario

Most rivers in Europe now have their names back in the tooltip.

I also corrected all the wrong city, unit, AA, etc icon locations where appropriate.

Changed the climate of several provinces.

Completely updated the distance.csv.

Some new areas and regions defined.

Great! I hope Mumia includes the new provinces and river names in the new version which i think it will include new Syrian and Ukranian provinces. Mumia should also make a new version for MDS (great mod) which would include Lelystad as a land provinvce, polish names for Silesia, Prussia and Pommerania, dried Aral sea and Lake Chad and Lake Volta and Ypres for WW1 purposes.
And i found a bug: Caballococha #3827 in Peru has a land connection with Tartagal #3930 in Argentina

¿Is there a way i could only get the new provinces you made? I will make something special with this map and i would like to have more provinces in it.
I am not exactly sure what you mean. The map plus the new provinces without what? Unfortunately mapmaking is a bit more complicated than normal modding. You can't just take add something and take something away. Every time you make one small change the entire map has to be recompiled.

What files will I need to use in the mod?

Well there is first a little confusion here.

The E3 map by mumia, is set for 1936.
But there is another map by fabfeingold, which is, well I'm not sure, but I think it is the E3 map, but has more stuff on it? Best to PM fabfeingold directly, or read back the thread a few pages to were he posted it.

How it works:
If you download the E3 map, extract it and the same as any mod, put it directly into the dh/Mods folder, select it and play.

IT IS ONLY a map, so has no events, but does have a basic set up for you to start with.
To add anything to the mod, just look at what dh does and where it goes, and do the same.

What kind of mod are you wanting to make? As sometimes it may be a better plan to continue where some other modder left off, maybe he had the same idea and started doing a mod, but gave up for whatever reason. But it depends what you are intending to do?

Iwas planning to do a mod that starts in 1900. It would be ahistoreical.

Most of the nations do not have color, so what do I do?

For a guy just starting out on modding, taking on the E3 map might be too much to ask? But, if you want to, you want to, so look in the db/country.csv folder to see the colours of each country. The countries are in the config/world_names.csv file.

I would advise starting a mod with the DH map, as their is loads not done for the E3 map, that is done already for the DH map.
