Hi.
I've got a problem with this great mod. Playing as a Germany after barbarossa I chose Ribbentrop-Schulenburg plan , and later form a Vlasow Russia. In the middle 43 I finally annex Soviet Union (i think it's the right thing to do with the way I chose ? ). And after that I have nearly instantly (sometimes day or two after ) a CTD with an error mesage. Can someone help me ?

ps.
second weird thing was not appearing of events to set up a baltic states , while the ukraine , belarus and caucasas events did appear.
third thing that suprised me was siberia getting independence when i chose (for tests) a bitter peace with SU. The map look horrible with few provinces belonging to SU (near the Ural) than Siberia , than another Soviet Union provinces not even connected with the previous one. Is it normal ?

Is there something wrong with Japan in this mod? I started playing a China game and basically set my divisions up just north of the yellow river in Shanxi territory and waited for a japanese attack that never came. (They plowed through Shanxi obviously but never attacked my divisions.) Let winter pass while I popped out an HQ and just completely steamrolled the 30 or so divisions that were in China. It was ridiculous, because there was basically nothing else in Manchuria or Korea either.

Also I don't think any amphibious assaults have taken place. I only put 1INF/2MIL corps on each beach just to see if they would hold like they normally do in vanilla but they weren't even tested. Pretty sure a good marine attack would have taken them too.

Have you read the event text? The other two options will create puppet states out of former USSR.

It could be Baltic states being liberated. Check in the game log if there's any recurrent event that gives you CTD.

ps.

There's an offset for those events, so some time is usually needed.

No, there's nothing wrong with Japan. It usually does very good. But it's not always the same. How many games did you play? 10-20? I think that was just bad luck, probably AI went passive for some reason.

about viki, I thought there are some kind of triggers that it acomplished in order for nazi france to surrender, but I geass that even if Viki ocupies New Yorg it will surrender

2 ? put vlasov compromise the soviets and make them crumble from within?

about posting a map, i got pissed of and deleted the game, but I se that others had the same problem so you will find one, the idea is that the soviets have, after the independence of siberia, the Ural region the coast of Pacifiv and Novosibirsk

I've tried to liberate baltic states by forcing events from console before annexation. Baltic states were formed but after I annex SU i still have CTD.
I don't know how to check a game log . Where is it?

I think all requirements are met , provinces are mine and front line is near China , it is nearly 2 years since I've entered baltic teritory (in the first year there was no Russia so all territories there were gray) .

Only problem is with Novosibirsk. It should go to Siberia. The rest is WAD.

Luxor, please take a look on Japan in your mod again. I dont think its WAD, i'm affraid it could be broken...

I have played only 1 game so far (Germany, now is late 1940), and Japan is totally lame. In war with China they never pushed frontline behind Benjing, never did any successfull ambhipious landing in China. I have two times loaded as china and disbanded each time 30 inf divisions 1936 to weaken China and allow japan to make another advance, but now i see that china has got 120 inf divisions, while all the mighti japanese army is 16 inf divisons (and 24 garrisons). Problem is, Japan can not have more troops, because their manpowerpoll is at 11, and they're gaining 0.24 a day, less then for example Poland at the beginning of the scenario.

So i looked into files and saw that there are numerous events for Jap triggered by being at war and holding some provinces, which gives Japan offmap manpower production. So i decided to try it.

I started brand new game as Japan, and saw my manpower gain is 0.24 daily. So i DOW Chinesse on the 1.1.1936, to see if any manpower event comes. Next day, there were several manpower events triggered, each saying my manpower gain per day is increased. So i waited for next day, to see what it became, and it was the same. Still 0.24, even after the events which were supposed to give me some bonus. Exactly the same value as before events.
Then i enabled "acceptall" cheat, and made a white peace with Chinesse. Immediately after this, my manpower became 0.32 a day, more then at war (???). Then, i've got events decreasing manpower gain, but still, i have 0.32 a day. Then i declared war on China again, and my manpower was again lowered to 0.24 (??).

I'm not an expirieced modder like you are, but i thought the events are written in such way, that japan will have more manpower when at war, that when it is at peace. But in reality (at least in my instalation), its exactly the opposite. After some very passive years of war with chinesse, Japan have virtualy no army (was japanesse prewar manpower really lesser than the polish one??), and with manpower events not working properly, Japan is just a doomed crap nation.

So please Luxor take a look on this, and tell me if i have misunderstood something, or if i have my installation of your mod not working properly, or if there is a bug in the mod or what. I'm just very very sad about my AI Japan. :(

(PS: I'm at work and i have not the game here, so maybe the numbers aren't totally exact, but the only important think> when the manpower growth is bigger and when lesser, and when it stays the same, is as i've said.)

Japan is not broken and I'll explain why. First of all you played just one game. The dev team has tested it with hundreds of hands-off sims and sometimes it happens that Japanese AI is dull, but most of times it rocks and it manages to land in Australia and take India too.

Manpower issue. I left those events there but they are useless since offmap manpower command is broken. It doesn't get values < 1. As a workaround I recalculated homeland Japanese manpower. So, you're getting exactly what Japan is deserved to get. They didn't have such a huge army, so you have to live with the manpower you're getting. If you go historical you'll have some events giving you a boost of 1000 MP.

EDIT: One more note. When at war, you don't get manpower from oversea provinces, that explains why the daily growth rate changes from peace to war time. Sorry but that is in the exe and there's nothing I can do about it. It is same problem in Vanilla.

Hmmm... So i will hope, nexttime, i will see more historical success from Japan. :(

I thought something may be broken in the game itself, not the mod... And with events giving another 1000 manpower, it could work well, i agree.
(and the information about not getting overseas manpower is new for me, too .)

Yes. Precisely, all provinces that can give manpower (basically core provinces) must be land-connected to your capital during war time or their manpower is lost. Japan and UK are the most affected by this.
