This is a quick Player's Guide:

- New Combat System
Combat is longer than Vanilla. Misc.txt and units combat parameters have been tweaked so that battles will last several hours or days in most cases. That means you now have to better prepare your army for battles. Speed is now a key factor for a successful blietzkrieg. As a hint, launch multiple attacks on a front so AI won't be able to send reinforces everywhere. Push harder where you want to actually break the frontline. Air-to-ground combat has changed too. Use missions to reduce enemy organization. That will make a difference in a combat. Command limits for air and naval generals have been changed from Vanilla.

- Resources events
Initial resources layout has been designed with 1936 historical data. Each year there will be plenty of resources events (but you will see only those for your country) that will change values in the provinces. The outcome will be a global changing resource economy following history.

- Armor units
These units are disabled for everyone at the beginning. This is for historical reasons as tanks were used for infantry support. After Germany has gone to war, therefore revealing the world how effectives tanks can be used for the blietzkrieg, armor divisions will be buildable.

- Elite Units
Elite units will be given via events only to Germany and USSR and are not buildable. They are regular units with a great amount of experience from the beginning. This will make them to perform better in battles. This simulates better training and equipment these units were granted.

- Militia/Garrison
Both are designed for partisan suppression. While Garrison has better suppression value, militia has mobility.

- News events
I designed these events with the purpose of giving historical feeling of what was going on before major international events, like the Treaty of Munich or the Anschluss.

Great mod, I really like it. It's my first HOI2 game in quite a while.

There's however a bug in models.csv: Playing as UK, HMS Queen Elizabeth is listed as the Nelson-class, HMS Nelson as the King George V-class, and if I build HMS King George V (second '36 tech) it will be considered a Vanguard-class.

Are you interested in a few AI research improvements? Because I notice France is researching CAG's (both expensive and useless) and ASW frigates - which means they'll only be building those instead of normal destroyers.

If you like, I can send a number of AI files - other countries probably suffer the same thing - with those techs on ignore, as well as a models.csv with further updated ship classes. I'm going to change them for myself anyway, might as well share the work with others.

Sure. I haven't reviewed all AI research. If you can do that, it would be great.

I slightly updated the research AI for all countries, to prevent it researching CAGs (except USA, UK and JAP) and ASW frigates, Super Heavy Cruisers and AA-cruisers - because once researched, the AI will build only those. And I allowed the UK AI to research rocket techs, since it needs those for jet aircraft.

Playing as UK, France and I did not lose the last 10% peacetime IC penalty - even though Poland was partitioned. Everything else went historical. Since we're now at war it doesn't matter much, except that every time I load a savegame we start with an incorrect amount of IC.

I don't get what you mean. If you are at war, you shouldn't have any peacetime penalty. Was it the case?

What I mean is that "peacetime_ic_mod = 0.9000" for UK and France in the savegame. It should be either "peacetime_ic_mod = 1.0000", or not exist at all.

It's unpleasant for two reasons: 1) Everytime I load the savegame IC is given incorrectly because it takes one day for the game to realise we're at war and remove the effects from the penalty. 2) After I defeat Germany and return to peace the penalty returns with it.

In Vanilla the last 10% of the peacetime IC penalty is removed after the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact is signed.
