It's not so much that we make everything about Trump, but that he makes everything about himself, and we kind of have to at least pay attention, what with him being the world's most powerful man and all.

I am not sure that is still true with low level dissent all over the government. I really wonder what he still can do...
"Power" is not exactly quantifiable like mass is, but he is clearly powerful enough you can't ignore him, that's what the ability to unilaterally launch a world-destroying nuclear strike does.
He needs a second man for that... I do not believe that he would find a second man to launch a nuke for shit and giggles.
He does not need a second person, the president has unilaterally authority to use nuclear weapons.
Only technically. In practice there's a whole host of people that also need to agree with the order in order for anything to be fired.

Obama got a Nobel peace prize simply for not being George W Bush. Haven't heard of anyone nominating Trump for the Nobel prize. Trump is certainly more feared than Obama was...

he's less good at pretending to be the nice guy, it's not part of his schtick (also I remember someone nominating him but he likely wouldn't get it as it doesn't fit in the narrative that the nobel price commitee is trying to project)
like obama and bush he only seems harmless, bush pretended to be dumber, obama pretended to be down to earth and trump has the "barking dogs won't bite"-things down to a T but it's all a mask to apeal to the people (or at least the people they want to have the support of)
being the president means ordering people's deaths, all day and everyday, all for the good of the country
Of course he is. He's well known, he's obviously powerful, and in most places the press is very angry at him so they are doing all they can to encourage people to be very angry and afraid. Meanwhile the genuinely scary people aren't as well known (i.e. everyone else), or are getting cover from the press, or aren't so obviously powerful. I mean - he's somewhere very high in the list of most loved people too- probably in the top 100, and within the US certainly in the top 10. Anyone with a sufficiently high public profile will get a lot of love, and a lot of hate.
