Difficulty: Normal/Agressive

From The Diary Of Pvt. Dimitri Ivanovich Petrenko, 55.Rifle Division, 47.Rifle Corps, Smolensk Front, June 22, 1941.
Up1Pic1MyUnit.jpg

'' Everyone in my unit is confused. The news from the borders of the Byelorussian and Ukrainian SSR are terrible. Soldiers of the 7th Shock Army that are en-route to Minsk said that Hitler advances with three million soldiers and thousands of tanks towards Moscow. We asked Mj.General. Zubov about what happened, but he only said that we must retreat to Smolensk. It seems every division west of the Dnieper and the Daugava is doing the same thing.''

This looks interesting, I like the style in the form of a regular soldier sharing his experiences at the front.

Thanks:)

too much played Call of Duty 5 eh?:D

Anyway, good Luck!

I thought no one would see that:rolleyes:

indeed, russian campaign was horribly shitty though (kingtigers in stalingrad wtf, unhistorical seelow heights?!)

The game is a lot ahistorical: General Heinrich Amsel ( means Henry ''BlackBird''), kingtigers in 1942, but I believe its possible to kill a kingtiger with a T34-85

also the camera footage, during the mission briefing of the vendetta mission, the man was not some heinrich amsel, he was heinz guderian

but the good thing was voice acting, jack bauer as the american sergeant (?) dude :)

I think they created Heinrich Amsel:D

Yep. But I swear, that guy you had to Snipe can't be anyone else then Guderian. If HOI2 players don't cry when you realize that, they never will.

Another ahistorical point, Guderian wasn't the commander of germans in Stalingrad, it was Von Paulus.

Update 2

From The Diary Of Pvt. Dimitri Ivanovich Petrenko, 55.Rifle Division, 47. Rifle Corps, Smolensk Front, August 12, 1941.
Up2Pic1insmolenskweare.jpg

''It has been ten days since I arrived in Smolensk, HQ of my front. Here is the first defense line for Moscow. There are almost two-hundred thousand soldiers here, with a thousand tanks. BT-5s, BT-7s, T34s and even some of the powerful KV-1. Field Marshal Konev said that our orders, that came directly from STAVKA, are crush any german offensive here, and regroup for a large counterattack over Byelorussian SSR, at the beggining of 1942.''

Soviet Anti-Tank Formation South Of Smolensk

From The Diary Of Pvt. Dimitri Ivanovich Petrenko, 55.Rifle Division, 47. Rifle Corps, Smolensk Front, August 20, 1941.
Up2Pic2fFinsOwned.jpg

'' While we are waiting for the german attack, great news arrived from the north. The mighty Red Army is about to defeat Finland, and Field Marshal Kulik stopped a german offensive in Kiev. We are now suspicious that the germans will try this offensive here, in Smolensk. Field Marshal Konev requested reinforcements from the STAVKA reserve, but they were denied. We are all alone.''

How can two hundred thousand men be "all alone"? :D

They must have been accustomed to have a great plenty of company in SU if even amongst such number they feel isolated...

Well, the german attack over Kiev had 53 divs, including 8 panzer. So, 50german divisons against 20soviet divisions(outdated, less org...), I believe in this case they are ''alone'':D
