Okay, trying to apply SophieX's principle of keeping the panzer divisions push forward so that the enemy has no time to regroup and consolidate their defense. I guess this is the furthest I can go. Mentally exhausted haha.

Midwest is a riding ground for mechanised warfare. I believe this game will come to an end once the Allies fell. I am not going to fight a war with Axis as long as I get what I want from the peace treaty (Asia Co-prosperity Sphere).

Okay, this is my overly optimistic blueprint for WW3. Previously, I used a resource-based strategy where I aimed to deprive the Axis of critical resources. Now I want to win by military expeditions. Basically, multiple armies invading from all fronts and eventually meeting at Berlin...

You could try building a fat railroad track (chain of level 10 infrastructure states) behind the Army while you push forward.

Yeah it would be cool to imagine that: you manually shift your divisions through a chain of level 10 infrastructure in a sea of level 1/2. So you don't have to upgrade all the regions in Siberia -- just a thin, long strip will do.

Edit: i also have to avoid as much infrastructure damage as possible. My previous US campaign was much more successful than the old ones in that regards.

Okay, I think I am going to put this campaign on hold for some time. I want to try something else like German's blitzkrieg of Soviet Union in 1941. Because I am a bit sick of world conquests, especially in the late game.

Edit: I did achieve what I want, which was to establish an Asia-Pacific Co-prosperity sphere (90% completed). So got to move on...

Thanks for the recommendation! I just got the Waking the Tiger and Axis Armor pack. Going to make my German campaign enjoyable!

Okay, the new features are pretty sick. Makes my panzer encirclement more entertaining (panzer spearhead). The air support like air supply (haven't tried yet) is also useful. Anyway, never felt so happy before like a kid getting a new toy.

Note that I am playing on regular this time (I don't want to mess up the built-up process), but I buffed up all my rivals to near max. This was a suggestion by some other player in my previous thread.

Oh my gosh the Battle of France is a lot harder than I thought. I have to keep pushing and bypassing strongpoints with my panzer groups. The French had many divisions, especially panzer divisions. Now I understand blitzkrieg a lot better. The point is to use panzers in a concentrated fashion, keep pushing with them and taking control of enemy's supply line. And this is when your panzers shine -- attack enemy weak points on PLAINS. I also keep making a lot of silly mistakes like forcing my way though a lot of divisions in forests and city, but failed miserably. Really pissed me off...

Edit: This time, I challenged myself by declaring war on the low countries and France at the same time. Tried to emulate the Ardennes offensive but failed due to presence of many divisions in the Ardennes forest. Hopelessness, I desperately shift Guderian's panzer groups to the coast where the breakout is a lot easy, restoring mobility.

Y
Lessons learned ;)

What about deep battle? Have you tried that before?

Edit: Regarding blitzkrieg, I just thought about it and realise that its key point is to BYPASS strongpoints. That is why it is so effective and speedy. Many a times i thought blitzkrieg just means massing of tanks, breaking through and encircling enemy from behind. But it was built upon the concept of stormtroopers in WW1, which were already used to avoid attritional warfare by bypassing strongpoints and concentrating in areas where enemy was weak. Take a look at the German Spring Offensive and Brusilov Offensive. Both worked well, but because infantry was slow and less mobile, they ran out of steam. The tanks and aircraft happened to be new technology that brought the stormtrooper concept to a whole new level!
