In at least two cases a battle went on for 3 month without a single casualty, because one side was not deploying troops anymore but still the battle did not end:

1:26:40: End of the battle Persia vs Ethiopia. Nothing happens for at least a month, though they don't show this battle very long
1:27:00: Korea vs Coalition. They go there at 28 of November and no casualties until battle ends at end of february!
Pretty sure the same happened in some battles again Brunei.
Battles should now not end if there is enough reserve still waiting to fight
My guess is that it was the work of Qing rebels originating from Korea.There could also have been a revolt the AI did not handle, flipping back provinces.
Indeed. And they also told about not being able to retreat... I was wondering why they did not retreat from battles they were losing before their artillery is destroyed... I certainly hope those issues are going to be fixed in the release patch because that sound unplayable...I think they mentioned this in the discussion after the session as well. Sounds fun^^ Smashing hug-boxesThough this dev mp is not yet over, I would like to suggest for the next one you spawn our role-playing god Groggy as Jan Mayen and have the rest of the multiplayer players attempt to defeat him or survive until 1821, it would be nice to see the dynamic as players strive for both score and survival and to see how they work together. Of course Groggy will have an insane advantage, but I trust him to keep it interesting. The scenario would also probably encourage the most aggressive expansion by the devs we have seen as they try to build an economic base before they die, maybe have to nerf jan mayen slightly or not have a player control it at all, but still it would be one of the most interesting dev games yet.

@Bratyn: Unless you have already done so: learn from StarNaN's foolish mistake in the last Dev MP game and fortify Galapagos. He lost his VC because he could not cross the straight to Venice, handing Wiz the victory.
While they may still be able to siege it down if they control the high seas, it is much harder for them to do so.
