It is good to see an outpouring of anticipation for a title that I am also very interested in. If I understand correctly the release is about a month off. Having been in the release cycle myself for many years, I know exactly how much programmers (and lead programmers especially) hate to get nailed down to a particular date. I am fond of saying "software development is a ballistic process". Which is not to say that it is only at the end of the process that things go ballistic... but that it is an aimed process with a target and an arc. (grins)
But my original post was intent upon playing Europa Universalis and serializing it to Victoria. No doubt that much editing will be required.
I think also that I may have the problem of what to do with South American colonies. If I am not mistaken, those revolutions take place "on the cusp" between EU2 and Victoria. Naturally these will be the sticky parts. The revolutions almost never have gained hold at the end of EU2, and are possibly depicted as already having occurred in Victoria. Bother.... what shall I do?

Don't worry, you are not MAD, i'll start with CK (or even Spartan?) and end with a HOI forever mod. I wish PARADOX starts another game after 1947.

I will enter a period of personal distress as I have constant internal monologues regarding whether I should buy it and hope it'll run on my 500 Mhz machine.. or just let it sit on the shelf and continue to enjoy EU2.

The day that Victoria arrives, I will buy it, play it, play it some more, get bored as Prussia stretches from Gibraltar to Moscow, post a long rant about the game (possibly in one of the numerous rant posts already). Or not, but this seems like the most likely scenario to me, give or take. Let's hope I'm wrong about how I suspect this game will be at start.
oh yeah.. and I will also come here and anxiously await the AAR section to be started up.
