On the Day that Victoria arrives I can begin my great quest!

This is to play a Grand Campaign in Europa Universalis II, and then transfer the results into Victoria. I will make time to do the editing of a game file.

Then... Once I have played a full campaign of Victoria, I will transfer the results into Hearts of Iron. YES! I will do it!

Who knows what strange results may happen. I am looking forward to the journey.

Does anybody else have this kind of idea about going through the Paradox games in serial fashion?

...or am I finally gone MAD?

On that fateful winter day...When I see that big UPS truck pull up in front of the homestead. I will run out to greet that great man in a brown suit. Then I will rip open the package and stare in awe at the greatness that is Victoria:EmpireUnderTheSun. I will then slowly and steadily open up the package, take out that little disk of superness and then I will be absorbed into my computer for O say 72 hours :D I think I will be "sick" from school the next day ;)

And that is a pretty hefty task!! I would lose my mind trying to edit that, but I wish you all the luck.

Well I almost certianly won't be getting Victoria the day it's released, because I don't think that there is even a distributor for it in Australia yet. I'll have to order it from the states or wait and hope for 2-3 more months to see if I can get it locally. So a stateside order is my only option:D

I'll get the parcel after work, rip it open install the CD and while it installs I'll have to make a decision where or not the manual is a burnable item like HoI's or a keeper. After that I'll be playing Russia or the UK in my first game until it's time to leave for work again the next day.

I always buy the US issues, because they get the premium support. The local editions are patched at far lower priority.

Hm, so far all patched by Paradox have been available for foreign versions, too, IIRC. :)

Maybe the two different distributers make the difference there. I dunno enough about it....

I don't know. I've been thinking about putting VIC off until Christmas just to save my final grades. Not to mention, the anticipation would make me savor the victorious march of Spanish forces into the New World all the more. There should be a patch or three out by that time, anyway, and it'll be a finer thing to savor at that point, anyway, although I think it's going to be released more ready for play than HOI was.

...I don't know if I'm going to be able to abstain for long like that. :(

Patches need to be forwarded to the publishers to have the respective copy protection added. Hence the patch for one language version may be out later than another. The Scandinavian versions of EU2 and HoI were English, too, so there are indeed various English versions.
